Joe, I wait for your videos as i waited for Christmas morning as a child every Tuesday and Thursday. I'm 67 yrs old , have served in the US Army as a helicopter pilot, and as a military policeman in Wash DC. Thank you for the simplicity with which you present your activities. It is entertaining, wholesome (kinda like Mayberry RFD), and has a calming effect in my life. I tried the hay bales, built a 16x32 garage, and yes...I check my deer blinds as you do. I enjoy splitting wood and even enjoy stacking it. Keep up the excellent path you are on. Love how you watch over all you loved ones also. Zach has an excellent role model in you.

That new stand had 2 more ladder sections so it could go up to 21 feet. I suggested we leave it low like it is now because it will be much easier to get in and out of.

I have heard/learned that when the weather says you have a 50% chance of rain or snow it actually means that there's a 50% chance of someone in the area (Im not sure of the size of area but I am thinking like town size) getting rain or snow. It might not nessacarilly be in your vicinity but somewhere around you. So I guess the weather man is off the hook....somewhat 😉Also, it is heartwarming to see all you guys taking care of each other.

Joe have you ever thought about planting a couple of apple trees at the tree stand area? Out at the perimeter of area you shoot at. One to the left and one to the right. Maybe deer would come to that area year after year to eat there. Or plant a bunch of those blueberry bushes.
@JoeandZachSurvival
@JoeandZachSurvival 11 ай бұрын
I have had 2 planted in the Tent side yard. They have been planted there for many years but they just keep slowly dying. It is hard to find an apple tree that will grow that far north. The winters are just too harsh.

Hey guys! I was just watching ( Or rewatching for the who knows how manyeth time in recent years lol) your 2021 deer camp video. I noticed Sara walked out with what looked like a blue sleeping bag. Thought it may be helpful to know that blue is one of few colors that deer can see and distinguish pretty Cleary. And well when you are the only Blue blob up in a tree on the landscape it may be a good idea to grab a different blanket lo. Not sure if she currently uses that one but figured I'd mention it. Keep up the great videos, can't wait to see y'all shoot a deer on camera. Kenny, from Wisconsin

Really, how blessed are we to have experiences like this in our grand state of Michigan? Opening a cabin for deer season after summer's adventures is always a re-awakening, and akin to waking up as a child Christmas morning. You know every crevice, every flaw and perfection your cabin holds, and rejoice in the fact that it provides.

Joe, I'm surprised you have deer with wolves in the area. Even though grouse spend alot of time on the ground at least they can evade wolves by flight. We have deer daily lol, I see far more deer around our house than I ever saw in the woods. Before rifle season opened we would spot on gamelands. And I have seen scores of deer around ranger stations. But after after the first shot ( unless we could mount a drive) seeing deer while sitting rarely occurred. Memories.
