The German shepherd at the motel and in Sarah's jeep at the end was James Cameron's own pet. The voice on the answering machine message canceling the date with Sarah is James Cameron.

There are several versions of "Terminator 2", the "Extended Edition" has restored scenes that were cut from the Theatrical release. The "Skynet Ultimate Edition" has the restored scenes and an alternate ending. I recommend the "Extended Edition" with the restored scenes but the original ending.

Devin During one of Johnny Carson's late-night shows (Tonight Show), Arnold was a guest on Johnny's show, promoting Terminator during his press junket. Arnold was telling a funny story about his going to a local restaurant during filming of Terminator. Arnold was got done in makeup with prosthetics of being The Terminator. Most filming was done in at late night. Arnold was on his way to location for that night's filming. On his way, Arnold stopped by at a local restaurant pick up an order to go. Funny thing, remember that Arnold dressed up evil cyborg with his face showing decaying flesh and metal skull poking thru the skin. He walked in the restaurant. Some customers scattered out from the restaurant in horror while clerk standing scared to death. Arnold picked up his order and drove to the location.

1. Linda Hamilton ROCKED. She's really built in T2. 2. Along with Lance Henriksen/Vukovich and Michael Biehn/Reese, The late Bill Paxton/punk😇 also played in Aliens as Bishop, Hicks and Hudson respectively. 3.We have limited AI now. 4. If this wasn't a movie the ammunition would not have been available on the gun shop counter. 5. Ginger's boyfriend Matt must be a lousy lay if she needs rock and roll to "rock and roll".🙄 6. Watching people react to the eye operation is worth watching this all by itself. 7. The next one is mandatory.

I always get a kick out of needing the 45 gun with a laser sight on it. He's a combat machine who would naturally have perfect aim. The laser sighting was for the audience as it looks cool.

Great reaction. I think I saw Terminator the 1st time when I was 12 or 13. My friend's dad had a copy he had taped off of HBO. His parents were at work so we watched it. I loved it. Fun Fact: Bill Paxton is great. I love him as Chet in Weird Science.

In 1984 I'd been out for a few pints and decided to see this new movie a few people had mentioned. It blew my mind , it was the Sci Fi movie I had always imagined.

The Terminator in the future sequence was Arnold's bodybuilding buddy, Franco Columbo. Arnold's model number was CSM-101. Franco's model number was CSM-102. The officer that Arnold knocked out at the end of the Tech Noir scene, 1L19, is in Terminator 2, but you have to watch very closely to see him. Also, 17 cops were killed in the police station massacre, but we don't learn that until T2. The AMC Gremlin that Kyle and Sarah drive away in can be scene elsewhere in the movie. They shoot dogs because dogs can detect them. And dogs are the best!

Ya got me thinking about those phone books... yeah, they came updated to our home doorsteps EVERY year... and back then there was no such thing as 'recycling'... so imagine the prior years' chunky book just being tossed into a garbage bin... along with pop/beer cans and stuff... jeez, lol... to live in 'a future' right now where people actually point out phone books in movies is so surreal to me 😂😂😂

The crazy part that a lot of people don’t seem to grasp is that, from the machines point of view, this is quite literally their last ditch, Hail Mary, effort to stave off their own extinction. It’s like Reese says in the interrogation, the machine’s defense grid was smashed, humanity had won. The Terminator was, ironically, the machine’s savior, and Reese was their grim reaper.

It's never better than the first, don't overdo it, it's good, but the first remains a pure masterpiece, just the music, the script, the actors, etc.

@_Alex_.... I don't really like the first one that much. It's good, but I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece. Terminator 2 has much better visual effects, CGI, and everything else. There is also another reason why I like it better than the first Terminator, but I won't tell you, since I don't want to spoil it

T2 is in its own league it was at a different time the first Terminator will always be the best 1st predecessor it was made as a sci - horror in my opinion the 1st movie was way ahead of its time about A.I and time travel theory I meen look at today the subject of A.I taking over tasks is hot on the agenda

James Cameron also wrote and directed "Terminator 2", however the studio did T3, T4, & T5 without his involvement. He came back to write and produce "Terminator Dark Fate" (2019). "Dark Fate" completely ignores everything in T3, T4, &T5, and instead picks up right after the end of "Terminator 2", forming a "James Cameron Terminator Trilogy" with T1 & T2. You can skip over T3, T4, &T5, and go straight to "Dark Fate" after T2 to complete the trilogy. If you want, you can come back to watch T3, T4, & T5 afterwards.

Stephanie was locked in the whole time like we all were! Great reaction! You said "Sarah looks so calm." Yes, she's a VERY special character. T2 is IMO, the best sequel of all time & I've seen A LOT of sequels in 52 years. Without T1 though it's not as powerful nor would you understand T2 as well. Keep in mind when watching it, it was made 32 years ago. Everything is it production wise was ahead of its time & changed the game. T3 is a pass for me 😬 the last scene of T2 is the perfect ending IMO.

The Terminator in the refugee tunnels isn't Arnold. It is played by Franco Columbo, another bodybuilder and friend of Arnold. This shows that there are many different "800-series" meatsuits for the base "Model 101" endoskeleton, which is why Reese did not recognize Arnold as a Terminator right away at the night club.

The T-800 is the Endoskeleton. The CSM - 101 Terminator skin looks like Arnold, the Future Terminator was a CSM - 108. The artwork for T2 had Tech Com discovering a rack of unactivated CSM - 101s which is how they were able to send one back.

I'm wondering if anyone else spotted the continuity fault when Arnold drives into the police station. When the camera shows the cops face as he sees the car coming at him you can clearly see headlights shining on him, but when it switches to the car crashing through the doors the headlights are off. Just a thought.

Thanks for your fun reaction video. Fun facts: Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally intended to play Kyle Reese and Lance Henrikson who played "Bishop" in Aliens was going to be the Terminator. Arnold wanted to play the Terminator after reading the script and changes were made. The scene where his eyebrows are singed off after they escape the nightclub was achieved using real acid. Mr. Schwarzenegger was understandably worried about it so close to his eyes. James Cameron's initial idea for the script came from having a nightmare about a robot that was cut in half and still chasing a female victim. I look forward to your T2 reaction. Have a great day!

Oddly enough back when this movie was released, the main Los Angeles police weapon, (the shotgun) was not secured in the vehicle as it is today. It took some high-profile cases to change that.

Arnold's eyebrows were burned 🔥 off from the explosion just prior to his punching 👊 through the windshield to grab Sarah. I think it makes him look that much more menacing and not quite human. Almost like an unstoppable Frankenstein monster! -OG

Another time travel movie you guys should react to is one of my favorites is The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.

I think phone calls were still a dime when this came out, but I'm not sure. But the it was more common to call the operator and ask them to connect you to the police. It didn't cost anything to call emergency services.

When you watch ALL the terminator movies, the opening of the first one where Arnold punches through Brian Thompson, it’s the ONLY time it ever happens in all the movies. Every other time a T-800 engages hand to hand with a person, they just toss them around. It really bugs me because it takes away from them being efficient killing machines.

Hey Devon and of course, the very lovely and beautiful Steph! The terminator is such a fantastic movie. The second is also great but for me at least, those after start to dwindle in their interest for me. There are some interesting twists and turns in the movie and the actors/ actresses very well chosen for the roles they played. To see Sarah going from a frightened woman to becoming strong despite the odds, simply wonderful. A great reaction guys. Have a fantastic day, take care!

The cop the T800 smashes on the door is the same cop in T2 taking photos at the mall when the T1000 tosses the T800 through the glass… he takes the photos and cops show those photos to Sarah.

Something that bothered me when I first saw this movie was, how did Sarah know that Reese was there to save her during the police station shootout? She heard gunfire, but for all she knew it could have been Reese who had broken free from his cuffs and got a gun, shooting up the station himself.

Fun fact: The producers were originally going to cast OJ Simpson as the Terminator but in the end decided to go with Arnold as he was far more physically imposing and intimidating as the villain.

AI is basically what happened in the Terminator. AI awoke and became it's own thinking entity. They called it "War Against the Machines" for people in the 80s to better understand, but it's basically AI. Watch the MAtrix too in the near future. if neither have watched it...highly recommend. Ground breaking movie such as this one. Looking forward to watching to you guys watching T2. Amazing sequel.

Arnold actually was supposed to (and wanted to) play Kyle Reese as the good guy, but Cameron convinced Arnold to play the Terminator because Arnold had brought ideas to Cameron about how the Terminator should be portrayed and Cameron thought Arnold was the one to implement those ideas. O. J. Simpson was initially being looked at to play the Terminator if Arnold had played Kyle.

In 1994 i was 8 years old i watched TERMINATOR 2 i thought it was good. Then i watched THE TERMINATOR that movie is awesome. 29 years later still my favorite movie. Since 1994 i would wear sunglasses at night and because i have done that for nearly 30 i have better then 20/20 vision. Solid reaction. I have watched ever single Swarzenegger movie he has only played the villain in 2 movies THE TERMINATOR which is awesome and Sabotage which is a bad movie.

Phone book? Got another one for ya. Back when I was a kid, the local paper would list people admitted to the local hospital. Try that today. It wasnt until late in pay phone use yhat 911 became free. Its also where yhe tetm "Drop a dime," came from as calls were 10 cents for a long time.

Phone books listed addresses and phone numbers of only the people on the account, only in a specific city and only if you didnt opt out of it. Hard to find someone unless you knew the exact spelling of their name and the city they lived in. Google is world wide. The 911 system didnt start nationwide until 1984. This movie was filmed earlier.

it's strange that schwarzenegger, who almost always played the "good guy", broke into the cinema with the role of such a cult villain. as for T2 (if you decide to watch it), watch the original cinema version to fully enjoy it. unfortunately , there are plenty of versions of the film with deleted scenes added, and even an alternate ending that was apparently shot with the last 5 dollars of the budget.
