The Terminator · reimagined trailer

Whether or not you plan on seeing Terminator: Genisys, it's tough to deny that James Cameron's 1984 original film is a timeless wonder of action and science fiction. With some modern trailer-editing techniques and a mindfulness of respecting "spoiler-sensitive" viewers, here's my take on the kind of trailer that would make me want to go see The Terminator for the first time. Hopefully you'll feel the same way. Enjoy!

Great trailer! The first two movies are two of my favourites of all time. The first one is what it is. A dark, gritty movie and almost a slasher one at that. The second one is everything the sequels tried so hard to be, a huge big budget action movie, but with a soul to it. If anybody wishes to make a true third Terminator sequel, then maybe they should take a leaf out of Blade Runner's book. Instead of trying to appeal to the masses, they just made a damn good sequel.

Interested in what you could do to the T2 trailer. The Stan Winston teaser is a classic, but the theatrical trailer gave away the biggest twist.

Cool Joel! You make it look like some sort of slasher. Personally I have no interest in seeing Genysis. I honestly prefer to rewatch T1 & 2 over and over again.

Well, this was originally intended to be a horror film. It wasn't until they saw audiences' reactions that James Cameron and Orion Pictures realized what they had created.

If I made a trailer for this film I'd remove Kyle Reese with Sarah and make it seem as if Kyle and the T-800 are both trying to kill Sarah, which is something anyone would believe if they went in entirely blind.
