The Terrible Podcast - Talking Steelers’ Training Camp Schedule, Cam Sutton Comments, OTA Happenings

Season 14, Episode 142 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday episode, Alex Kozora and I start by discussing the 2024 training camp schedule that the Pittsburgh Steelers released earlier in the day. We go over some things that changed this year and most notably the fact that 10 of the practices will start earlier than usual.
New Steelers CB Cameron Sutton met the media on Wednesday, so we discuss what all he had to say and how a lot of his phrasing related to his ongoing legal situation probably could have been better.
Longtime Steelers scout Phil Kreidler has now retired so that story gets a little bit of attention from us on this Friday.
While the Steelers have yet to sign rookie OC Zach Frazier, we discuss why that transaction should happen soon. That discussion leads to us talking about guaranteed contracts and other CBA-related matters.
2024 win totals for the Steelers are briefly discussed in this episode on the heels of Sports Info Solutions releasing theirs on Thursday.
Alex and I check in on some wide receiver news around the NFL and talk a little bit about the San Francisco 49ers still possibly trading WR Deebo Samuel before the start of the 2024 regular season.
Washington Commanders S Jeremy Chinn made it known recently that he turned down an offer to sign with the Steelers back in March, so we address those comments some in this show.
Several Steelers players had interesting comments this week as the team finished their OTA practices, so Alex and I go over several of those.
Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 107-minute episode and we end it all by answering a few emails we have received from listeners.

To paraphrase Sutton: "I'm not going to duck the media on my legal troubles but I really wish you would stop asking me about it." In his defense, since the case is still open, he doesn't want to further incriminate himself. If the affidavit is 100% true, then "YIKES"!

Did I actually hear somebody say Jake Paul is their fav boxer? That had to have been a joke right? This guy has only fought "non boxers & senior citizen". That's a coward mindset to even root for a joke like Jake Paul!

I’m just going to say this: I highly doubt the Rooney and Steelers family would have signed him back if all of it was true. I mean Damn,that affidavit was hideous!!!! How could anyone possibly want him on there team??? How could Fitzpatrick give him such a glowing endorsement if all was what it seems? There is more to this, and I fear Won’t get the truth anytime soon. SMH

An affidavit is under oath too. Still, he wasn't charged so I believe there is something more to it. We won't know unless he is charged and it goes thru court system or she sues him in civil court...or gives an interview to tell her side. If he isn't able to talk about it, there's something legal surrounding the matter. My question is can we rely on Cam or is the NFL going to suspend him?

I just can’t respect all of the moral posturing. “I didn’t like his answers” You’re in no position to judge his answers because you don’t know what did/didn’t happen. Obviously he feels as though he’s been falsely/wrongly accused and prematurely judged by people who don’t even have the facts. So why wouldn’t he feel like this is adversity? He’s had millions taken from him already and could lose more financially. If he’s actually innocent of the allegations why wouldn’t he feel a way? Accusations and allegations are not proof. If y’all want to assume he’s guilty just because he was accused then ok that’s your prerogative, but stay off the high horses
