The Cosmic Battle event has been completely screwed up. There is no equality. I am level 103 and almost all opponents are level 130. 16 out of 20 opponents are level 130 and there is no fun in it, let alone a chance to earn points.

Yeah, just try to acquire the coins from the event's tasks. For the battle, keep using the chances to get better rank. Anyway, it's only game 😊

I'm not doing any better than you in the Cosmic Battle event though I'm a F2P player at Level 130 with a 400k team power. Whenever I am just one more win from completing a winning streak, the game will set me up with a rival that 100k stronger than me, forcing me to break my winning streak. This happens all the time so it can be called a pattern. I'm not spending any Emeralds to skip super strong opponents because I do not want to be manipulated by the game. Besides, maintaining a winning streak does not offer any significant amount of coin rewards because because the hero level that I'm at, it requires a lot of coins to buy the items that I need to level up my heroes. This event will not level up any of my heroes but I still play it to get whatever little I can get because I'm F2P.

i wonder if they are taking a peek at our inventory when they assign us to equal groups. this would be a way to pit hoarders against each other so more resources are wasted for bragging rights. this might also explain why the feb island map is pathetic.

It gets me to level up heroes I've neglected evolving. On Alliance, which has the Tournament of Power active right now, I have over 20 heroes to evolve. With about a day left, I wait until the last hour to cash out and see if I can take 1st place. It has worked for me once before.

For the Tournament of Power event, the whales are going to be grouped with the whales, and the minnows are going to be grouped with the minnows. That is what the game advertisement said and I hope it comes true. I could see improvement in the January 2025 Area of Conquest event for my group. Any hero/titan upgrading event will benefit the baby heroes/titans the most. I have something to look forward to because I have a plan to level up my 3rd team of heroes for the Grand Arena. My first 2 teams are head and shoulders above my 3rd team which serves as cannon fodder. Because of this cannon fodder team, I take turns to win and lose to the same particular rival by rock, paper & scissors strategy. If I have a strong 3rd team, this would not happen. In my server, the majority of players are focused on developing only one strong team for the Arena. That is why my Grand Arena team is always at a better position than my Arena team. I put in a lot of resources to maintain my Grand Arena position because of the Emerald rewards as I'm F2P. In Hero Wars, a P2W player certainly will dominate. In some other game I have played in 2012, P2W does not allow that much domination as in Hero Wars because battle strategy is the key to leveling up as the battles are turn based and the characters are moved around hexagonal tiles (like in Area of Conquest) during battles. The special skills are a purchased with real money but the application of the skills is 100% manual and turn based. But I still enjoy Hero Wars because I can play while I work because the battle is already rigged to win or lose the moment the battle is started and runs hands-free while I do tedious data entry for my job. I don't have to blame myself for losing due to making a bad move on my turn (like in a game of chess but across hexagonal tiles).

I disagree. I've won it three times (so far) and I haven't spent a penny to do so. It is easier, certainly, to concentrate on low level heroes, but pay attention to how the points are tallied to make the most of the resources you have at your disposal.

Maybe they are testing new events cause the old ones are just getting worse and worse on the rewards they gave us. So they have no choice but to create new events to compensate this. Example this Cosmic Battle event I notice the rewards coins are much less than the last time. Normally for F2P you get like 30% event completion, but here are like 15%. So even if you spend more resources, you still get less rewards. 😅

In Dominion, right now, less than 24 hours into it, #1 has 104,719. #2 has 39,562. #3 has 14,222. I'm at 7,561 and only got that high for the daily reward. I'm not considering competing with this nonsense. Only a whale would. Maybe the devs are fishing for Moby Dick?

Resource management game creates an event where you should spend all accumulated resources (or cash) to level as many heroes as possible in 5 days to win... what will the rewards be? We're already competing to appropriately level heroes to match up against players on our own server, now just go nuts against players on other servers that you will never face (other than CoW maybe).

But there are other regular events that give rewards for resource spending. There will be some sort of competition between them. Anyways, spending to upgrade stuff is definitely NOT my favourite game activity. I would prefer a pvp game mode at any time - of course a balanced one. Or even slightly unbalanced, but not too much - just enough so i can turn the level handicap using strategy.

I agree, but even spending the hoarded stuff on heroes that you will never use (or never complete to a level where they can be used with your main team(s)) is still a waste. It will depend on the rewards and how difficult it is to "win" against the players you are matched up against, I suppose.
