Entertainment from a clown is to see how people would react on a neutral outfit.something similar to a troll but in a positive way. It's the viewer choice to perceive how they felt about it.

The fact that they were able to easily replace him speaks to the importance of owning the trademark to your name, because the company can continue profiting off the person's image long after they're gone...

Sadly many a shindy continues to do so. Nothing shows a shindy (shitty Indy)promotion more than if they have a fake a doink the clown on their card. As veeinfuso once said in his video on the subject,Matt borne was a notorious addict for booze and pill popping…but this somehow hurts his reputation even long after his demise.

I started getting into wrestling in the Summer of 93 I remember being fascinated by heel Doink and I loved the way Heenan would put him over. It's a damn shame that Vince turned him face and that Matt couldn't control his drug habbit. It would of been cool if Osbourne came back as heel Doink in the Attitude era but even more evil.

Heel Doink was like Krusty, Jack Nicholson's Joker and a horror character all wrapped into one, with great wrestling. They turned it face whilst Matt was still there which was daft, though I reckon he'd have been able to make it work - but it was the face change from the smile to the frown that made it good. If he would have stayed and they booked it properly that gimmick could have remained into the attitude era - it could have become what he did with it in ECW then and just made it more lunatic.
