CatNap really is a tragic figure: once a little boy suffering torment by the people at Playtime Co, then turned into a monster, then exploited by the Prototype, and twisted by religious fanaticism... and what does he get in the end? DEATH. When CatNap died at the end of Chapter 3, I cried. It just didn't seem fair to me that he had all that devotion to the Prototype, and then he gets killed. If that's not a cautionary tale about the dangers of religious fanaticism and manipulation, then I don't know what is.

Yes bigger bodies don't remember their past life but do remember stuff were familiar to them. Theo was a familiar with the prototype so he definitely remembered him and what he did.

Remember what Harley Sawyer said about the ones who call the playtime factory home? It was common for them to stab people in the back. It may have came to Poppy naturally, but it may have always been a part of the Prototype

CatNap is my 1st favourite character of Poppy Playtime (so far probably), I've learned the complete story of him, well I did know how he became CatNap, and he worshipped the Prototype, his real name, stuff. But what I did enjoy of learning is that how he can exhale The Red Smoke, I mean I've always wondered how he could do that, but now I know. And in the end, I think CatNap is not evil, he was just through so much and manipulated by somebody he trusted for almost his entire life, I feel so bad for him.

With everything we know, we can even draw an interesting comparación between Catnap-Prototype and Yarnaby-Dr Harley Sawyer. While the prototype has shown to care about Theodore and save him (twice if we count his death as saving him from pain.) The dr Harley Sawyer never really cares about Davidson, he manipulated him from the start and found his whimpering sounds something funny. Maybe this was intended from the developers intentions? Who knows.

catnap is my favorite out of the smiling critters. i guess because he’s so hauntingly scary and he had the play know that he wanted to k*ll the player, but he didn’t like actively try to k*ll the play. he waited and bided his time. edit: the way the prototype all around manipulated catnap, i think the prototype is harley sawyer.

I have always believed that the Smiling Critters' clip was doctored to show CatNap's purpose at Playtime Co. The "red smoke" CatNap recall incident was likely initiated by people (maybe ingenious orphans?) looking to get outside involvement for the horrors going on at Playtime Co. This incident could also be seen as vengeance for all of the orphan lives sacrificed to the Bigger Bodies Initiative, a corruption and serious abuse of PlayCare, the place in the factory where orphan children can feel SAFE. Theodore Grambell being forced to become the mechanism by which his fellow orphans were drugged and dragged away for experimentation adds some extra harsh irony and sadness to the whole situation.

I read a recent comment and I really find the similarities between the relationship between Catnap and Prototype and Yarnaby with Sawyer..But, Sawyer is a psychopath..Cold and Emotionless..After the recent args The Theory of Prototype being Elliot Ludwig is more promising. I think the Nightmare Critters side with Sawyer like Smiling Critters and Huggy Wuggy sided with Prototype..I think the Nightmare Critters are evil staffs turned into Nightmare Critters..And I think The Prototype collects the dead body of Bigger Bodies to fight against an unknown powerful version of Harley Sawyer

It is interesting that Catnap decided to worship the prototype on his own (after he was saved by him), meanwhile Yarnaby was FORCED to make a dependence with Sawyer. We could even say that Yarnaby is the complete contrary to Catnap, both in relationships and in the side their are on (Yarnaby being on Harley’s side and Catnap being on the prototype’s side)

@@replacableVessel It's really similar but the additional thing I found was that just before Kissy was attacked..Poppy wanted to day something then Kissy got attacked..Harley being alive after all the hour of joy and 10 years after the event is a plot twist tbh..And I feel the nightmare critters are the allies of Harley Sawyer led by Yarnaby like how Catnap led Smiling critters..We still don't know if Poppy is really good it could be an anti climax if Poppy becomes villain...Besides that, so could Harley Sawyer was the one who sent the letter to the player?

i really enjoy poppy play time but i have one question, why don't the rest of the play time co toys emit the poppy gas or at least something similar, as they found out the poppy gel brought people like poppy to life? and that poppy gas can be used as something more with experiments, this is one thing i have always wondered. like mommy long legs could of had poppy essence in her hair like a smell or Huggy and Kissy Missy with there fur, if the gas/scent would do something to the children like manipulate dreams or torture the child so they could be used as experiments why not put them on them all??? And with the smiling critters like Cat Nap emitting gas that turned out to be poppy gas this could of been a more effective way to get more children to experiment on. and if this was considered why not do it? and if it didn't work, how and why did it happen? also ik they have specific jobs but if for say huggy found a intruder they could also knock them out with there poppy smelling fur if they got too close they could be like idk knocked out and make it easier for him to do his job and this could go for the other big bodies too.

As far as I know, each of the bigger bodies had a specific role they were meant to play when they were made, huggy was a night guard, boxy boo would eat and kill lower level employees who found out about the experiments, mommy would look after the children who were brought to the Game Station and it was catnap's job to put the children in playcare fell asleep so that they could be experimented on. I also believe that the nightmares were more of an unintended side-effect of the red smoke than something playtime co. had intentionally designed and maybe the red smoke required too much resources to produce so they didn't wanted to give it to experiments whose primary purpose had nothing to do with the red smoke or poppy gel for that matter.

@@Musical_Mayhem what effects are you talking about? Each toy was individually created to fulfill a purpose, that is why Catnap is the only bigger body that can release the red poppy gas. Other similar effects might be how their pupils become bigger when they hunt (Huggy, M long legs and Miss delight)

The Smiling Critters (espicially Cat boi) are the REASON I actually started to like Poppy Playtime I like there simple designs and how they look like children's characters who could exist in irl (ie Smurfs and Care bears comes to mind) Theo simply wanted a dad but got killed and once he haunted Catnap it looks like the Prototype returns to team up with him to get his revenge for himself and the other orphans but ended up being tricked out of his second and final chance at life(or what little he had at that point) I know some say he's pure evil but I see him as more of an antagonist than a villain like how I see Harvey Sawyer as a villain since he killed and experimented on the kids while catnap thought he was helping

@@Stormsong11 look at it this way, before he started following us he filled the room with gas, we can’t be immune as that doesn’t happen with medication and we still saw him change, in addition the catnap who died wasn’t in demon form, looking like the normal catnap, also recently in the arg we got a picture that said something like “you were warned” but only two characters warned us to leave, leith Pierre and catnap, but Pierre was already dead for a long time, so the only character who could know we were warned would be catnap

So techinically Theo and the Prototype tried to escape using the pathway to the caves in the Schoolhouse. Because based on the gameplay the only area like that that requires two people to use the grabpack is that gate in the schoolhouse while fleeing from Ms Delight. So it was in the schoolhouse where Theo got electrocuted.

Most of the children in Playcare would be full on adults when we the player come back in 2005. But due to the evil and cruel and selfish people at playtime co, they never got to experience what it was like to grow up. Theo definitely had a Issue with him and I feel really bad that those consolers weren't trained enough to help him. Also does anyone else hate Stella? I mean yes she was nice and did care for those kids for what we know so far but, she definitely knew what was going on she knew all those kids including Theo and she allowed those experiments to go on. if you agree with me please tell me or if you don't I would like to know why as well!

ur wrong! catnap was loyal too the prototype! when the prototype led his hand down at the end of the boss fight he wanted too help him up but catnap knew he wasnt of use anymore too the prototype so he sacrificed his live...the prototype acepted the offer and toke his body too make himself stronger, this was what catnap wanted: he wanted too help his god no matter what. truly a sad story for the chrecter though :c he is my personal favorite😢 thx for listening!
