I share many of the observations. Young women will not settle for anything less than James Bond despite themselves not resembling any Bond girl. Pre-selection may be at play here. Essentially, you have been selected by another woman, therefore you must have something about you. Women want what other women want. Also, you are taken, and women want what other women have. Plus they may just be spiteful and want to ruin your relationship, since they themselves are not happy. Misery loves company.

That's the real source of the problem. And nobody's talking about it. Female hypergamous nature is literally evil. 100k yrs ago, it was necessary for survival. But now, it's just the literal embodiment of greed. It has become completely maladaptive in the 21st century. It's going to lead to depopulation. Taking half a mans stuff just because the law supports it is definitely on the spectrum of evil though. But you could be an greedy person and not be a thief. There is a golden ratio for everything, including the Earths population. Perhaps it is time we curb our population growth. If you look at every other organism that has a population outbreak - which is what mankind has been experiencing over the last 100 years - it is always followed by a sharp collapse. Mankind really needs to work out what our sweet spot is, and then maintain that balance. Who knows - perhaps this unbridled hypergamy will lead to women only breeding with top tier men, in which case after a few generations most men will be good looking and desirable. Simple solution. 1.) Women and men both need to work towards being the best version of themselves. 2.) Women and men need to realistically evaluate themselves to see what they bring to the table. It’s unrealistic for most men to think that their wife will look like an Instagram model who is going to cook and clean for you. It’s unrealistic for most women to expect that their husband will be in the top 10% of earners, very tall, handsome and fit. 3.) Look for a partner who has the character traits you want. For example, integrity, honesty, sense of humor, work ethic etc. 4.) Make sure the partner you pick has similar values and your goals align. 5.) Picking your partner is NOT a business deal. It’s not about getting rid of your partner for a younger & sexier person or dumping them because you found somebody who makes more money. It’s about the person you love and are committed to be with through good and bad times for the rest of your life.

As a man these days you don't really get to PICK your partner. Often times either you take what you can get and hope that you like her overtime or end up single for a lengthy period. And that is without looking for an IG model or Halle Berry in her prime type woman. Even as childless, financially stable in shape men we STILL don't truly get to "pick" who we want to do per say. Men are realistic in most cases about their standards and this comment annoys me a lot. You're throwing the blame at men? Okcupid shows men have an almost perfect Bell Curve on who they find attractive in fact it is proven by a number of studies that women hold impossible standards and are not even attracted to most men this data is out there. Yet here you are blaming men, rather than putting the blame squarely where it belongs with women. Women have way higher standards in general do you know any women lol? Must be Tall, Dark, Handsome, rich, men on the other hand require a woman in most cases to be slim something you can do by not being GREEDY! Yes men have a role to play and of course they're at fault in many ways but when you CONSTANTYLY dilute the conversation and blame men for women's choices it derails the real issues. Also it speaks volumes about your knowledge on this and all the studies into attraction by dating companies. Men also widely report they can pull more attractive women in real life.

What I took away from this is frightening. Assuming only a very small subset of men can afford to care for a family of 2-3 children without their partner needing to work in our current economy then women have basically had the choice to be a mother removed subversively. I believe this to be the case, I remember looking into the statistics for the UK and they confirm this to some extent: 1993-2016 (and it’s got worse since) Average wage ‘93 - 19k Average wage ‘16 - 23k Average house price ‘93 - 59k Average house price ‘16 - 249k I’ve heard from a lot of people about the attack on the family unit, increase in incentives for single motherhood etc and all the accompanying stats that prove it’s a horrific thing to do and this seems like an economic version of that.

Eventually, it is a numbers game. There are only so many (and really very few) of the top top men that are desired by a majority of women. We are not dying of famine/plagues/war etc the way we used to, but birth rates are dropping like crazy because it's too expensive to have children. Only the top tier of men can afford to have children, and only a small percentage of young women choose motherhood over a career path. There hasn’t been an effort to drive boys out of higher education. They themselves are leaving. There is a study on this and I forgot the name but it’s an effect calls “someone hung gender leave” the study says that whenever women join something men do, the men themselves decide to abandon that thing out of fear of the feminine. The study gives examples about how Men used to wear heels because it was a symbol of upper class and power but then when women started wearing that, men stopped doing that and by their own will left, or like how pink used to be a male colour but once a woman decided to wear it and many women then decided to wear it, men stopped wearing it and blue now became the colour for the masculine. Pink was a colour for masculine coz of how similar it was to red which symbolised power. To summarise, whenever and area of something gets “invaded” by women, men leave. Most teachers were Male. Look now? Most psychologist were Male. Look now? Another study showed that a man is less likely to go to a university if he is aware that it is made of mostly women, even if it was like 52% 48% men. @Impalingthorn
@Impalingthorn 2 жыл бұрын
I think I speak for most people when I say I do want to marry the woman of my dreams, have children, focus on a family. But politics and media has ruined an entire generation of women. Commitment is bad. Traditional roles are evil. Approaching women in any way comes with a multitude of issues and men have become scared to try and do so out of fear of being accused of one thing or another. Assuming you get the girl, then there's the actual hurtle of being in a relationship (because most people you date won't wind up being "the one"). But assuming you get to the late game, MARRIAGE, well that's where the biggest kick in the dick comes in, because now if anything fails she can legally just take half your stuff and if you have a child, even one you didn't consent to having, you gotta pay child support. Meanwhile media of literally all types spews spiteful messages about how fucking EVIL men are for simply existing, we get treated like jokes, berated and degraded, and society at large just doesn't give a shit. Hell, you cannot even say what I am saying right now without getting immediate backlash; people will immediately strawman you as a pathetic virgin, or a mysoginist, or immediately turn it into a conversation about perceived women's problems. I can get people not taking an issue seriously but it's like men aren't even allowed to have problems without THAT itself making men problematic. So yeah. Men are dropping out of the dating game. There's nothing political about it, it's just at one point or another you WILL be pushed in the direction of MGTOW whether you wanted it or not. And what men are finding is that it's actually kinda fucking liberating to just focus on themselves and NOT have to worry about someone else.

I've been single for two years. I was obsessed with replacing the ex I was hypergamously dumped by, at the beginning. I threw myself into dating and it turns out i'm an upper echelon normie, not quite a chad, but capable of getting laid. But I noticed that if I embellished or exagerrated my financial/career attributes I would get far more attention. All I had to do was put the word "finance" as my occupation on the dating apps and the matches would roll in. I also noticed how entitled and neurotic modern women are. The older they are the angrier they are. The younger they are, the more games they play. Ive had 37 year olds with barely concealed baby rabies and 20 year olds with princess complexes. Finally I feel happy to just stop chasing these creatures and focus on making bank. 6k saved in two years by refusing to simp and being economical. @@theelectricprince8231 then don’t go for younger women. Older men aren’t desirable to younger women and never were it’s your money that is and with the fact women can provide for themselves now coz they work, the SMV of older men and men in general has dropped more because it was mainly determined by their money value of which women in the past lacked and were financially depend on due to not working but now that they do work and get their own money, this means a man SMV is dropped and with the internet being a thing and social media making both gender more interested into look, it makes older men in older time even more undesirable simply because looks wise the average older man looks less attractive than the average man in his youthful 20s. The social media part has both increased and decrease the SMV of older women in terms of it making people date for look more, it makes the older woman more undesirable than she was But at the same times it’s been proven men will fuck anything so her chances of dating isn’t slim especially with younger men who have a milf fetish or a thing for older women which is mainly due to too much porn these days. Younger women have highest SMV and more fertile but I never understood why men like you go for us from a logical point of view considering MOST younger women whether it is today or in many eras in the past were never interested in older men except for their money and we always tend to like boys around our age which is a traditional rule and exception are the younger women who do date older men on their own will tend to either have daddy issues or come from bad house hold where they don’t have a dad present. The bad boy phase is more common in underaged girls and it becomes equal in percentage with other types of men once she is 18-21 because at this age it isn’t “I want bad boy only” for the general female population, there is more variety in preference from this age which is where the varied interests in types of men begins.

One thing that I think we need to take into account is that hypergamy involves a mental calculus women engage in where the math can change. Women can view prestige differently e.g. a woman can see a high value male who may not check all of the boxes like physical stature or salary. For example, my wife married me knowing my line of work doesn't make a lot of money but it is still seen as highly prestigious. A number of women could focus more on what the pay is versus what I do. We should also focus more on other variables that impact the dating market. Economics plays a massive role in mate selection. Sex distribution also plays a role. Birth control plays a huge role. And we haven't even gotten into cultural perspectives such as online dating or technological impacts on culture.

@@JJmikra It depends, obviously mine is just a generalization. It really comes down to basic economics. Just ask yourself, if a receptionist gets paid 5 dollars less than a production worker, is it worth avoiding the physical and repetitive labor. I worked in the past in manufacturing and janitorial positions. And most of these industries were men doing the physical labor and women in the office doing data entry and answering phones. In most cases they at least started at 15-20 an hr. while the laborer started at 8 or 12 an hr. Depending on the line of work there is also more opportunity for advancement in white collar jobs. I know a couple of women that didn’t have a college degree but were given HR positions. And those jobs are better paid and less strenuous. So that’s my experience and opinion.

Entirely untrue, I was in fact too emotional and insecure and was resoundly rejected for it. Around social circles where I presented that I didn't give a damn about LTR or marriage, I did much better. Stop comparing emotionally unavailable Chad to the rest of us guys. The emotional types, you reject and ignore 100% of the time without exception. It's a great way to test a woman's character, just be always nice to them and see if (when) you get rejected. But that comes with a tradeoff. When the previously nice guy realises that women don't care about relationships until it's far too late for them (post wall 30s 40s), without exception, he adopts the same mindset that Chad does, since y'all didn't want relationships anyway. But what you females don't seem to understand is that without the relationship and family building aspect of a woman's character, she is effectively the same as a prostitute, and is viewed as such by men. And so a man has no reason to engage with such a person as an individual, because they choose to offer nothing of value. (Integrity, commitment, empathy, cherishment, positive reinforcement, compassion). So congrats, you did this to yourselves. Enjoy what comes next.

6:55 That's a fallacy. though, that women 'need' to work in order to 'provide' for everyone else in the household. That's not always true. Staying at home, you earn to budget and you don't buy so much stuff. I remember feeding my family of four on less than $250 a month. We didn't have the biggest house on the block or a new car, and we definitely didn't go out to eat all the time. My advice is not to even bother with a relationship, what I've seen from those around me and my own experience is that relationships often create more problems than they solve. The best advice I could give in order to cope with the desire for emotional and sexual intimacy is to work like crazy everyday on the things you are passionate about. Become so obsessed with winning competitions in the things you love that you can derive a sense of meaning in life form success and competition. I grew up realizing that a lot of people get into relationships only to feel heartbreak month after month, then to get into another relationship and indefinitely continue the cycle of self torment. Hence it's not worth it, as it's just hormones put in place by nature to get animals to breed. Focus on achievements, that's how I found meaning in life and have learned to not let lustful lnstincts effect my decision making.

Great to finally hear this said out loud. It does not elevate women to compare them to a male standard. I've a PhD in clinical neuropsychology and left academia to raise my own children. It is rather annoying to me that this choice is still seen as "lesser". I have to make my peace with it almost daily. Chris is right that the societal pressure to make a different choice is ever-present. Also, I married a top-notch man. Marriage protects me from my reduced income as a result of my choice to stay home and work only here and there as fit in with my family. My husband values my contribution to our family and everything he earns is ours.

Many women prefer to share an alpha male or be alone rather than 'settle' for an average man. In addition, the government subsidizes single mothers by spreading the burden of child-rearing across society through taxation. This dynamic encourages women to pursue the most desirable men to progenate with and foots the taxpayer with the financial obligation that would otherwise be picked up by a faithful husband. The social safety net has unbridled women from the biological mandate to find and secure a reliable mate.

5:02 - men and women are fundamentally different, gender stereotype arguments aside, and that's actually completely fine. Really hit it on the head about how the male paradigm is seen as the standard life pattern everyone should be able to achieve; and yet, because of women's perception of inequality based more of lifestyle choices and realities, than on patriarchy, we see society trying to feminise men and the workplace. What we really need to do, and we should've done is - but leaders lacked the wisdom to think in such a way - post WW2 when all the women had been working whilst the men went off to fight, and then came back to take jobs away from women (largely) who had then adopted a male life pattern, industry and government leaders should have worked out a female life pattern outside of the home that enabled them to be workers and mothers. Instead, since then, we've had a battle of the sexes over workplace norms and gender expectations. Now would be a great time to work that one out.

I think in a long last past human society faced a similar problem. They invented the convention of matrimony and preached their children that they must do this to survive even if it goes against their desires. These last 50 years we have tried to undo some of these things to right historical injustices and in the end produced a power keg of a problem. Being humans, we try to improve but learn over and over past truths. I'm not religious but having lived a number of decades, you see lots of patterns in life and in society.

"Women want a square jaw and a six pack." Hm-m-m. As if men don't judge (and rank on a scale of 1-10) women based on their looks. If men are suddenly far more anxious that their looks do not compete well in the sexual marketplace, I think that it has more to do with the advent of Tinder than with a change in (specifically) FEMALE culture. With Tinder, the initial decision is based solely on looks (swipe left, swipe right). This is toxic, no matter if the loser is male or female. Wit, insightfulness, integrity...none of such factors have a chance to come into play. I tell people that the most important quality in a mate is that he or she GETS YOUR JOKES. This has nothing to do with jawline or abdominal muscles, but it is critically important, and rewarding.

@@EspressDelivery It is a fundamental truth that male sexuality has a greater urgency than female sexuality. One does not treat a stallion the same way that one treats a mare. A wise woman regards men with compassion, instead of criticizing them. (I look upon the "Me Too" movement with a jaundiced eye.) My point in the comment above: The advent of Tinder has done appalling harm. It is cruelly reductive. It has escalated the priority of looks. And, yes, it has increased the imbalance in the sexual marketplace (Though the observation that women, with the advantage of less sexual urgency, are now more free to opt out...that's insightful.).
@zeitgeist5134
@zeitgeist5134 2 жыл бұрын
@@EspressDelivery Perhaps, in order to elucidate my point of view, it would be helpful to explain how I hooked up with my current husband. I met him through my sister twenty-odd years ago. My initial attraction to him arose from his courtliness. Does Tinder have a box that a man can check for courtliness? Courtly men would probably not even describe themselves as courtly in their written profile; they probably are unaware that they have this quality. Then I became aware of his intelligence and his wit. The fact that he is a Vietnam vet embittered by the war added a layer of moral seriousness (and was personally important to me because my brother died in Vietnam when I was in my very early teens). His conversation about his activism in environmental issues deepened my perception that he was a morally serious person. My husband is not bad looking, but he certainly does not have matinee idol looks. As for money, or future earning potential....when I met him he spent six months each year working as a raft guide (raft guides are notoriously penniless eccentrics, though, I admit, there is a definite glamor about the profession); the rest of the year he kept himself housed (on my sister's property, in a shack lacking running water and electricity) and fed by working part-time as a stable-hand on my sister's horse farm. (I liked the fact that he was highly skilled at working with animals. It bespoke wisdom and compassion.). And then I became aware of his sense of fun. Girls just wanna have fun. None of this could be communicated adequately in a Tinder profile. Not enough to click on a deeply subconscious level, not without face-to-face contact. Tinder is dehumanizing. I pity the people who believe that it is their only option. And he gets my jokes!! An endless source of delight. A quote from Nietzsche: "When marrying, ask yourself this question: Do you believe that you will be able to converse well with this person into your old age? Everything else in marriage is transitory." Tinder-matchmaking, with its shallow obsession with looks and money...is a recipe for divorce.

@@justlol7281 That is an interesting analysis. It may only apply to Tinder. I still think that the current problem is caused by the reductive nature of Tinder; Tinder eliminates more subtle cues for attraction, such as courtliness.
