In Akuma's defense, the way his character is designed, I feel like his backstory of wanting only to fight strong characters can easily fit into any and ALL fighting games as a guest character into the plot in some way. I would have honestly LOVED to see Akuma as a stand alone character in Smash Brothers, as his own character and not a echo of Ryu and Ken as well, with a way more unique play style and even in Mortal Kombat, where the Raging demon finisher would be a proper visible fatality.

Akuma in the main event of the Tekken 7 storyline is one I can remember. Akuma fighting Heihachi Mishima and Kazuya Mishima is incredible considering Akuma waited for them to get stronger hence keeping his code of only fighting and killing opponents that can match up to him. The debate of the Dark Hado and the Devil Gene still remains. Now I want Tekken 8 to have a battle between the Devil Gene and the Blood Riot State(Orochi) from KOF.

Sure Kazuya and Jin feel similar when fighting to heihachi but trio fighting each other having same blood is something..........then AKUMA butted in. I LOVE Akuma's inclusion and the fact that it's cannon, but I wish they gave a little more context. WHEN in the Tekken time-line did Akuma OFFICIALLY debute; And, when and how did Kazumi save Akuma's life causing him to repay her a debt in the first place? Obviously it occurred when Kayzua was still a boy and probably before the whole cliff thing, but where does it take place in the Street Fighter side? Was it during the Alpha series or...? So many unanswered questions. I hope one day they get answered and you make a video on the answer. Anyways another job well done as always Tophat.👏

I think Akuma meeting with Kazumi (that Kazumi saved his life) happened after he left the Dojo to train in the Satsu No Hado Before he killed his Master So before Ryu was born as those two events more or less happened the same day As how it happened In Namco × Capcom (i know it's non canon but shish its only to make an example) Akuma's Cave Temple (the Cave where Akuma trained his Satsu No Hado) has been mentioned having a Dimensional Rift in it (or something) and can be used to travel into the Netherworld/Afterlife (but potentially can be used to travel to other Dimensions too) I think when Akuma was training he may have lost control of the Satsu No Hado and got a potential mortal wound But at the same time opened the Dimensional Rift causing him to cross in the Tekke Universe where he ended in a Cave Temple dedicated to The Devil Gene Where he meet Kazumi that saved his life (Later Akuma must have learned how to use the Portal and go in-between the 2 Dimensions at will)

The Rival Schools and Final Fight felt more like a spin-off to Street Fighter since all of it take place in the same universe. I know it's not going to happen, but part of me still hope for the idea of Akuma returning in Tekken 8. After all, not only is he canon to the Tekken 7 Story Mode, but he also made a promise with Kazumi to kill both Heihachi and Kazuya if they become to big of a threat. Heihachi is dead, at least that what we've been told, but Kazuya is still alive, so he hasn't completed his promise yet.

The reason can be summed up like this. Akuma either had some sort of secret love affair with Heihachi’s ex wife Kazumi or at least some sort of close relationship between the two. She went to Akuma and asked him to end the Mishima Bloodline and leave no survivors. Akuma agreed not only because of whatever the past relationship is/was classified as with Kazumi but it has been long established in Street Fighter lore that Akuma will NEVER shy away from finding someone who can match him in combat. That’s been his one desire. Heihachi, Kazuya & Jin were just more possibilities to fulfill that desire for him. That storyline never got fully fleshed out by the end of Tekken 7 though. I fully believe we haven’t seen the last of Akuma in the Tekken series. I am willing to bet he will make a surprise appearance in Tekken 8 somewhere. It may not be until a DLC storyline or something but it would be criminal to have his mission go unfulfilled.

I have even an idea of what The Final Boss could (have) be(en) a *Satsu No Hado* (empowered) *Devil* Devil is a Character that was dropped in Tekken (since probably T3 with the Introduction of the Devil Gene) His Lore would merge the OG Kazuya selling his Soul to the Devil/Demon possession Lore from Tekken 1 & 2 With the Devil Gene Lore from Tekken 3 onwards The Devil Gene would be something Devil created so that he could have a Perfect Host to use to descend on the Mortal Realm But because Kazuya was able to resist his Posession & Jin has the Kazama's Blood then in T×SF he would have asborbed the Satsu No Hado to manifest his own body (kinda like Cage in SF5 as he is Ryu's Satsu No Hado manifested)

It's possible the Satsui No Hado is a more powerful power than the Devil Gene cause base Akuma defeated Heihachi who killed his wife Kazumi while she was in her devil form and Akuma as Shin Akuma defeated Devil Kazuya so ain't no telling how Oni would if Akuma ever is brought back which I hope Akuma just a one off character.

Context. In his battle against Heihachi, it can be argued that he didn't fight Heihachi at the same height of power as the version of Heihachi that fought full powered devil Kaz in the end. Also, keep in mind that Devil Kazumi loss to a Heihachi who is weaker than Tekken 7 Heihachi. Because Akuma stated that he wanted to wait til they got stronger to fight. Which means the Heihachi Akuma fought was stronger than the one Kazumi fought. Which means that she isn't as strong as Kazuya. Secondly, he never beat Devil Kazuyas full power. In fact, Kazuya fought a long drawn out battle with the strongest version of Heihachi to the death. Becoming so drained and tired that he reverted from Devil to human form. Right after the battle, Akuma starts a fight with the same drained Kazuya. In the cutscene after we beat Akuma, we get a scene where Akuma is down on a knee. Which could imply Kazuya was winning up to that point even after being drained. We then have them both power up and blast each other to what seemed to be given no conclusion or draw. But if Kazuya is in Tekken 8 and Akuma is not, it could be assumed that Akuma loss, after all the years thats passed and he hasn't returned. NOW, even after all that, we must remember that Kazuya only had half of the devils power. So Akuma is, at most, on par with half the Devils power, from what we've seen.

He didn’t invade anything, Harada ( who is in charge of everything Tekken) wants to make all fighting games connect and be in the same world and that’s how he started it. Don’t be surprised if you see MK characters in the Tekken 8 story when it comes out, I’m pretty sure he has already made similar deals like the one with Akuma.

And yeah it doesn’t make any sense everyone agrees on that. let’s hope they clear some of that up in the T8 but fighting games aren’t really known for their outstanding coherent storytelling so don’t hold your breath on that one, but we will see I guess.

I think the Akuma is the only fighting game character from a different franchise to actually become canon to that fighting game franchise’s lore. Not counting Street Fighter and Final Fight constant crossovers.

would've liked if geese appearance was him trying to take control of the vacuum heihachi's death left/loved noctis being friends with lars(between that and his appearance in one of the naruto games odd he has connections like that.). while i doubt akuma may come back in 8(not against it just maybe do more with it.)/feels a bit like a foundation for tekken x street fighter did love akuma's appearance in 7 and while i wish kazumi had been in the present as a boss(could reveal her as the spirit that possessed jinpachi.) instead of being unintentionally the reason heihachi fully went to being evil like to headcanon kazumi's how he got his 2nd wind against gouken.(did more with akuma than sf itself has as 6 probably won't have much for him unless he fights ryu to finally see who wins or dies/that form he had in cfn.) also like it with how akuma(and to an extent anita.) were what started the vs. games.

Making him cannon to Tekken really has the potential future of Tekken X Street Fighter. To me Namco did the right thing to delay as Street Fighter X Tekken wasn't received well by fans of FGC. I still have my PS3 CD of the said game but decided to buy it digital when I had the chance and preserving this game on my console (too bad I didn't get the chance to get MVSC2). Tekken X Street Fighter will still be possible as the game engines, game mechanics and lore push through fighting game evolution in the succeeding years and I still look forward to it even if it never happens but I got a hunch it's just a matter of time.
