Entre 1553 e 1554 Portugal chegou a Macau China. Bartolomeu Dias foi o primeiro europeu a chegar no Cabo das Tormentas em 1488, no extremo sul da África. Contornando o Cabo da Boa Esperança e chegando ao oceano índico. De qualquer forma o vídeo ficou muito bom.

The part in the Americas could be a little more accurate (don't get me wrong, it's a nice vídeo!). I think most of the problem stems from not quite defining if the video follows official dates and treatises or de facto conquered land. Some things I noticed: - Until 1750 most of Brazil was not formally recognized as Portuguese; - The 1750 treaty was nullified eleven years later but was mostly put back in place by 1777; - One could argue that, treatises aside, the Portuguese were already colonizing the region, but I suppose thid could be shown as light green; - Only by 1817 the Portuguese actually got a good hold of Uruguay. Before that, they only had Sacramento, which went back and forth from Portugal to Spain during the 1700's

The borders of Portugal Continental are shown in the vídeo. The Azores and Madeira islands are part of Portugal.

Uruguay was called Cisplatina province, and belonged to the Brazil Empire. But Argentina claimed the lands of Cisplatina and this was the fuse of Cisplatina War, when in the end the British Empire refereed the conflit giving birth to Uruguay and with this new nartion, started the rivality between Brazil and Argentina.

A a city in south western Uruguay called Colonia do Sacramento was founded by Portugal in 1680 , but then the Spanish arrived and founded Montevideo in 1724 and all the other important cities in the country in the 1700s ( Maldonado , Salto , Minas , Melo etc ) , and they even conquered Colonia. All of Uruguay was part of Portugal / Brazil for only 9 years ( 1816/1825). Stop spreading misinformation.

I'll give you a news portugal was never annexed by spain, the only thing that came close was when our king died without a successor and the direct successor was the king of spain, becoming the king of portugal and spain, creating the Iberian union. The king of spain didn't need to move any army, because he was the direct heir. A few years later, Portugal had its fill and created a new dynasty.
