It's nice to see that some TV writers can still write good character arcs. I disliked Fitzjames in the early episodes and fully expected him to develop into the main villain or at least an "obstacle" character we'd grow to hate. But instead by the end he is one of the most honorable and likable characters you can imagine. His end is heart wrenching. Top notch acting by Tobias Menzies as well. Edit: I guess I can remove the spoiler alert since this clip shows what happens to him.

Yes!! The writing is so good they played me like a fiddle he totally agitated me and I didn’t like him to begin with but I really grew to find him sincere and a great guy

Well "still" is 6 years ago from now though. I guess every age has a few series which are far above the average. Sadly, The Terror is very underrated, especially when it comes non english speaking audiences.

the only show I could legitimately watch 365 episodes a season of. Like if they made it an episode a day kinda thing, so one season = one year. Even if it were 70% nothingburger I would watch it all. What an addictive show

They found his body a couple of weeks ago-well, what was left of it, since his bones showed signs of butchering, confirming that Fitzjames had also been cannibalized.

I know it’s crazy that it literally happened just a few weeks ago and it turns out the show got it right about him being cannibalised

Such awesome acting in this series. Too bad the last episode got kind of weird and silly

Did it?? I thought it was really consistent tho - maybe it’s because a lot of the likeable people had died already
