The Texans took the Watson trade and used it to become the most promising team in football. Stingley, Harris, Pierce, To'oTo'o, Tank, CJ, Will, Scruggs, and Pitre all look like key pieces to a team on the rise. Shame Kenyon Green looks like shit, but you can't win them all. To think in a few years, the AFC South will be as competitive as the early 2010s AFC North.

Two players won’t make a team remarkably better. Sadly nobody knows how these players will be until they are in the league a year or two. One good season by one or two players playing with a shitty team does nothing for the franchise and will likely have you looking up at the real teams come playoff time. Will Anderson in collage was more productive than both watt brothers both bosa brothers Khalil Mack Myles Garrett max Crosby, Hutchison,chase young and more…will Anderson was even slightly more productive than von Miller who was one of the best defensive prospects ever will Anderson is a far better prospect than carter not even close only 6 sacks and a very lackluster amount of tots and tfls for carter not the best for someone projected so high wheb not even Arron Donald was projected as high as carter and he was a significantly better prospect and that’s not even counting the off the field issues for him but point is will Anderson is one of the best line prospects to be in a draft in over a decade let alone better then carter

In a vacuum if you look at the guys they got its potentially a good draft. If you consider what they gave up (#12, #33, their 1st next year which in all likelyhood is a top 5, plus a 3rd next year) and what they need (almost every position not including depth) it starts to look way worse. They are throwing Stroud to the wolves behind that line, with that running game, and those receivers. They desperately need a core and mortgaged away their best chance of building one betting it all on 2 guys.

It's an overpay but if there's ever a time to overpay, it's when you have a shit ton of capital. The Texans recouped the 3rd next year they gave up by trading down with the Eagles, and they also still have a 1st thanks to the Browns giving them a lot for Bill Cosby at QB. If it's not a top 5 pick, which I'm assuming it's why Caserio and Meco traded that one away, then the Cards and Texans had a very solid trade that both benefitted from.

That 1st isn't as valuable as people realize. Houston had 2 losses and a tie that could've easily gone to them, not to mention the Chiefs and Cowboys games.
