Down on Galveston Island, there is a restaurant that serves up some pretty interesting eats! From lump crab salads, to hot dogs topped with Cracker Jack, the Gypsy Joynt was worth the stop for this week's Bite of the Week!

I am Texas born and raised until I joined the U. S. army in ‘86. Now, living in Michigan since ‘91, I’ve relished my vacations to Galveston as yearly rituals. Now, after watching this video, I am intrigued in visiting The Gypsy Joint with my fiancé. We’re lovers of good food, and nice people, so this will be an incredibly awesome experience for the both of us!

That building was Gambino's liquor store in the past, they have a new location on 61st Street still in Galveston, Texas. I had no idea they were on this show, good deal!

Holly shit....so sad (deviated) when you all left Great Barrington MA. Never was mentioned in the interview MA ???? But first restaurant was in N Carolina???? I remember when Jorden’s baby was born and he was either carrying him around the MA Gypsy Joynt restaurant or you could find the baby in the front bakery in a bassinet 🧁 Sooooo miss you guys and the awesome food. ❤️Well wishes to you all.

I grew up in a little, small town, family diner. We all worked if we wanted to eat! My baby sister and I were always fighting over one thing or another!! The local saying was breakfast was free, you paid $3.00 for the fight! I’d like to experience some island life after 25 years in landlocked KY. So, are you hiring? I promise to “be nice”!😁

This place is fantastic! Try the PBJ burger and their pizza is the best on the island. Pro tip: Get a home made cookie for desert it is so worth it. Also the Blue Ball burger is strange but really good.

They've moved to a new, less "hip" location since this video. And, yes, the food IS wonderful - but the service is terrible. An hour from order to food on the table our last visit. Which will always BE our last visit.

Bucket list as your title is a very generous way of this channel reviewing very mediocre and pedestrian dishes. How many more burgers, Tex-Mex, etc can a person take? And why is it always south, coastal Texas restaurants being reviewed more than north texas?
