It's not about making it better, ya numb-skull. It's recognizing that people are crossing over the border and regardless of our efforts to extricate them they keep coming back - so continually sending them back is at best a stop-gap solution - building a wall is itself asinine - we're left with some more options, we could actively invest in their home countries and help make them places that they wouldn't want to leave in the first place but that's pretty Globalist of us to do and I doubt certain elected representatives would be too keen with sending money abroad - so.... what are YOU suggesting we do? Don't make the mistake of thinking it's some effort to DRAW people to the US in order to.... do something intentional. The draw is purely unconscious on our part - as long as people believe they have no chance at a better life in their own countries, they will seek opportunities elsewhere. I'd LOVE to hear your well thought-out and nuanced proposal for the problem. lol

Yes and no - it's true I don't want to do it, but not because of moral or ideological reasons. Purely practical - first of all, it wouldn't stop illegal immigration. There's the common saying "The solution to a 20-foot wall is a 21-foot ladder" and that doesn't even begin to delve into the issue of it, every time we've developed measures to stop illegal immigration they've thought up counter-measures. What about the tunnels that are already used to smuggle both people and drugs? How is a wall supposed to stop them? Walls have failed throughout history - they failed in China to keep the Mongols out. The even more elaborate set of walls and forts in the Roman Empire utterly failed to stop Barbarian incursions and eventually Rome was sacked - multiple times. Hadrian's wall was a boondoggle in and of itself, costly and for no positive benefit. That's one aspect of it - the fact it wouldn't work, but there's another, what about the cost? We know it wont be foolproof, but we DO know it will be costly, having to build in areas that are as remote as they are inhospitable and rugged. Not only that, but US citizens OWN some of that land. You're suggesting the Government deprive them of their land? Many of them have already refused to sell - and a lot of those people are Trump voted themselves. We're going to pull imminent domain on our citizens to build a costly wall that wont even fucking work? REALLY!? What about the illegal immigrants that don't hump it across the rio grande? What about the LARGE AMOUNT of the ones that come in on a work Visa or similar purpose and simply don't leave when it expires? In the age of the plane, the helicopter, the fucking hot-air balloon how is a wall an adequate answer? ALL OF THAT SAID - HOW DO WE PUNISH THEM!? They aren't our citizens, you're saying we put them in prison? Well congrats, then, dude - they're in the US, they're legitimized, and they get three hots and a cot in prison. So realistically you want to put them in prison? Which YOU AND I will end up paying for via taxes? How is that punishment? All we can realistically do - which is what we've already been doing for years - is deport them. So let me ask you, you speak tough about punishing them and they wont come here anymore - how? What form will that punishment take?

With the former they are officially in America - and they get three hots and a cot - and our tax money pays for them. On the other - we do the exact some thing we been doin'.

What do you mean by "pain"? Be specific. When a child crosses the border - let's say, about 12 - 14 years old since that's been close to the average for kids crossing the border alone (It's actually been largely females and children crossing the border in recent years - not so much males - www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2018/jun/29/does-america-face-refugee-or-immigration-problem/ ) what specifically should we do to them in order to teach them not to, and then after we do that to them what do we do with them? Also, what's the crime we're talking about, here? You mean specifically crossing the border?

Very good, but a little short. You didn't really mention Goliad that much, and you didn't talk about how at San Jacinto, the Texans also shouted "Remember Goliad!" in addition to "Remember the Alamo!"

Goliad Massacre was Sunday March 27,1836 the men of Goliad met the same fate as the men of the Alamo did 3 weeks before Sunday March 6,1836 the runway scrap began March 31,1836 when Texans began fleeing the region Houston did not take action till April 21,1836 at San Jacinto when the main army of Texas defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto with remember the Alamo and Goliad

Very funny, kid. It happens that I like music and don't listen to it casually. In your Texas video - which I like and which I assume you took pride in producing - I'm faced with either listening to what you took time and effort to research, write, and present, or a mindless, continuous, repetitive loop of music that adds nothing to the story. One is a distraction to the other - Which would you prefer I pay attention to? Many people are exposed to background noise and music all day, and have learned to ignore it, and no doubt have no trouble ignoring it in this video. Therefore you have two responses to the music - Either it annoys your audience of they ignore it. So where's the benefit to using it?

Bexar, not Bejar, and the full name of the town in those days was San Antonio de Bexar. Houston was not the first President of Texas, David G. Burnett was. You did not mention the Mexican losses at the Alamo. Long after the battle, a US Army doctor investigated the action and concluded that Mexican losses were about 600 killed and wounded. Many modern historians accept this figure without examining the facts themselves. In my opinion, 1200 is more likely. Either way, not too shabby for 183 men, none of whom could properly be called soldiers.

Texas was again invaded by Santa Anna's forces, twice in 1842, and his army fought the Texans again in San Antonio at the Battle of Salado Creek. The Mexicans were defeated and fled back to Mexico, but, not before massacring Nicolas Dawson and his men who were coming to the battle, but, were intersected near the battle by some of the Mexican Army. The Texans pursued the Mexicans into Mexico following this battle in what became known as the Somerville Expedition, and ended with the Mier disaster in Mexico, where the Texans surrendered to the numerical superiority of the Mexican Army. and 17 men who drew a black bean from a jar, were executed, by the orders of Santa Anna, in reprisal for the invasion of Mexico by the Texans.

I understand this is to be simple to digest, but I feel like there are several key points missed and misunderstood... for one 1824 was skipped over, and Stephen F Austin's imprisonment wasn't the final straw, though it was very important. Most Texians and Tejanos favored a more republican kind of government, similar to the US. When General Lopez became a dictator, that stirred the pot much more. Additionally, the runaway scrape wasn't Texians freaking out, it was a conscious decision made my Sam Houston to burn Gonzales, and head East, forcing the residents of Gonzales to flee.Lastly, at the time, they weren't called Texans, but Texians. It's a good video, but I just think there is a few more things you could have added, as well as I didn't agree with the way you depicted the runway scrape.

Loved this one. I have a feeling in the near Future or in another 4-16 Years Texas will succeed from the United States as they did from Mexico forming its own Country. Texas has an Economy so powerful they can become an Independent Nation as it has been growing from Democrat into Republican Solid State and that people like Hillary could make Texas go Democrat in 2016 or 2020 for President, Senator, Congress and Governor. If that happened Texas wouldn't be a Liberal State like California but it might be a Moderate Left Leaning State. I'm just saying People will move to Texas because of their freedom and jobs they have and most of them are from California, Illinois and the East Coast (mostly New York) and a lot of them are Democrats and will try to make Texas go Democrat. Texas is mostly likely going to want to succeed from America as they did to Mexico.
