I was the one who recommended the video. VY was my MS/HS teammate in basketball. He would always tell us about Ramonce and said he was the best RB on the roster. That was with Jamaal Charles on the roster. Last I heard Ramonce was coaching and doing well in his community, so that's a blessing in itself.

You never know he might end up as an assistant coach or a player position coach at Texas like a RB coach where he can really make a great living doing that. He truly was a great player at Texas and I remember still to this day watching him and winning two rose bowls. Tell this man to keep his head up and keep doing his thing. He will eventually get up the D1 college level coaching and making a great income.

Was a really young kid when I watched ramonce. He was in hs then. He was an absolute celebrity in Belton, the town would shut down to see one of his sporting events. He was the most incredible athlete I have ever seen with my own eyes. Those 2 seasons of his at UT live in my memory forever. He was special.

For those that don’t know Marlin High School is in Marlin, Texas about 40 miles from Waco.. I think they are a 2A School but they are a powerhouse in Football winning back to back State Championships and having several players sign D1 Scholarships to Big Time Colleges.

I saw Ramonce at a basketball tournament in Hearne back in January. He’s coaching at Marlin and been there a few years, says he’s still pretty close to Quan Cosby. Seemed pretty chilled and we talked about both those Rose Bowls that Texas won against Michigan and USC.

I played against Taylor in 2004 Bastrop Bears Ranked #3 Texas. I was all Cen-Tex MLB District 34-4A 110Mete hurdler record holder. The first play of the game I looked up after the snap he was already running in for the Touchdown I remember thinking there is No way he is that Fast unlike man kind he just scored that fast!! OMG we are in trouble. THE FASTEST EVER PLAYED AGAINST US. STATE RUNNER UP BASTROP BEARS.

The best Running Back on that roster that no one knows about was Erik Hardeman out of Pflugerville Texas! He was sharing snaps with Cedric Benson in practice during the 2003 season.. Erik never saw the field due to off the field issues.. but Erik sure could run the ball..

Mack Brown and the coaches were not involved enough in what the team was doing outside of practice. There were other players getting in trouble at the same time. Rumors of players smoking weed in the dorms. I was living in Austin at this time. Mack Brown was at the golf course most of the time. Before the 2005 National Championship - Mack Brown watched the players closely.

@@leo29hornsfanI grew up and played on the same HS team with the Vicks… I was only a freshman when Mike and Curry were seniors so I didn’t get to play against him… but I did see him in action with my own 2 eyes .😳 he was F*uckin unbelievable. Mike was unbelievable too but he wasn’t on Curry’s level. The roles obviously reversed in college. Vick was f*ckin unbelievable and curry was average. Curry messed up when he went to UNC to play both sports. His career as a QB would’ve been great if he would’ve went to UVA for football only! Curry is the only HS player ever to be ranked the #1 player in football and Basketball the same year

From a football perspective, DE is not the end all to be all as far as creating pressure. I really do laugh when I see folks losing it over players and not looking at schemes and the bigger picture.
