one of the best things ive done in tf2 was on this map. the payload was net to the second point, and i was playing spy. i ran behind it, and the rest just happened. I got 6 back stabs, all in a row. everyone was freaking out, and since i was semi-new to the game, in inspired me to play it lot more. now i have over 750 hours in the game, and i hope to reach one thousand some time soon. I also would like to get into hammer, so i can do my part for the game by making maps. rest in peace.

I don't think we've seen the last of cactus canyon, but i do think it along with rd_asteroid have been shelved temporarily. You need to remember that valve works real slowly and employees can work on whatever they want at the company. cp_powerhouse actually started development in 2007, but was shelved by the map's author. He would later finish it in 2015 and it would be released alongside the gun mettle update.
