Actually, it was on Monday 27th August 1984 not 27th September. Also, other ITV companies replaced Thames material with programming from their archives or films. A Plus 4 and Channel 4 Racing coverage which Thames produced for Channel 4 couldn't be shown either, and also some ITV Schools programmes produced by Thames weren't shown either.
