Another thought, the name. Fergus Kilpatrick as Fergus Killed Patrick is an interesting play on words. Patrick etymology is father, paternal etc…Fergus in the end does extinguish himself by signing his own execution. Patrick is a name strongly associated with Ireland and of course the Saint who arguably could be considered a hero and a traitor.

In my opinion, Krypto is the noble hero and Una is the dastardly traitor. I will not elaborate.

🦸‍♂️ I loved how this one made you think of so many other pieces of literature during the discussion - it’s always fun when that happens (it happened to me today with bacon! 3 different things I’ve read, 3 different authors and all of them mentioned bacon!)😂😂
