I have fond memories of the Triceratops encounter! I was about 13 and fascinated by how lifelike the animatronic was, and it really was stunning. My mother, who fairly obvious when she was only playing along vs sincerely engaged, was convinced it was real. She kept bringing up how amazing it was to see a real dinosaur and how far science had come, and was disappointed to realize hours later that it really was just a thoroughly well made animatronic. It still turned out well, because the conversation turned to the hard work that went into making something so convincing. It remains a very happy memory.

Welcome to Jurassic Park. We've made living biological attractions, so astounding, it'll capture the imagination of the entire planet. We've leased an island, 120 miles west from Costa Rica, and set up a kind of biological preserve there. The name of the island is Isla Nublar, or Cloud Island, named so for its low lying fog banks and geothermal steam. It made for the perfect jurassic jungle location for our park. Now, of course we have rides, everyone has rides. The park opened with the River Adventure Ride tour, a serene journey through the world of the dinosaur, ending in an 85 foot waterfall drop at Thunder Falls. But, that's not all we have. You can take to the skies on the wings of a Pteranodon, have a face to face encounter with several Dinosaur species, and the wee little ones can also climb through our Amber mines and Safari Lodge at Camp Cretaceous. And, of course, what would a Jurassic Park be with out a state of the art museum. Our Visitor Center, along with its Discovery Center and Hatchery, are absolutely top of the line. Sparing no expense. We've also been adding attractions, ever updating our Island to always be at the cutting edge. Sparing no expense. Of course we have all the major amenities of a modern Theme Park and Zoo. We have a 5 Star restaurant with our Thunder Falls Terrace, headed by our Head Chef: Alejandro, who's specialties include Sea Bass and Costa Rican Jerk Chicken. We also have several other quick service restaurants for the thrifty traveler or hungry snacker. We at Jurassic Park also have several shopping destinations, for all your souvenir and gift buying needs. There is also a Midway with Jurassic Park themed games, fun for the whole family, with everyone including officially licensed Jurassic Park merchandise and not generic fair toys. Great video! I loved the Triceratops Encounter as a little kid and the Discovery Center is always a fun place to go on a crowded, hot summer day. I think one thing in the Discovery Center that you forgot to talk about is the You Bet Jurassic quiz game. It's fairly small but still fun.

One time I was up at the top of camp Jurassic, and there were some employees talking about the King Kong ride that was being built. If my memory serves me right, the employees said that there originally was supposed to be a King Kong animatronic that swung in front of the tram before the end of the ride. Years later I was a little disappointed when nothing came to jump out at the end of the ride.

I used iMovie when I started and have finally begun using Final Cut Pro. FCP is like iMovie on steroids, but there's definitely a learning curve with it. iMovie gets the job done but it's pretty basic and you either need to learn workarounds or get add ons for it.

This is an odd suggestion, but can you go through oaks park in Portland OR? It’s a odd one which came to Portland a a traveling fair in 1907! Now it just got a new coaster called adrenaline peak! It’s a pretty neat story that might be fun to review.

The island you are visiting when at IoA is not Nublar. It is a new local park that Hammond had constructed. It is even mentioned in the Queue video of River Adventure, that the new Island is located in Orlando. Even the model in the River queue is not labeled Nublar, it's labeled Isla Adventura. I'm not sure about Hollywood's though, but Orlando's is definitely not Nublar. Source: Worked at River for 3 years and had to know the themeing inside and out. Other than that small gripe, good video and quality as always.
