Thank You For Posting This Video. I Just Learned Of Dianne Crittenden's Recent Passing. Watching Her Discussing The Process, Along With Sharing Tapes Of Actors, During The Casting Of "The Thin Red Line" Is Pure Gold. She Was Truly One Of The GREAT Casting Directors. I Had The Pleasure Of Reading For Her (And Director Robert Mulligan) At Warner Brothers Back In 77, For The Richard Gere Role, In "Bloodbrothers". I Was Brought To Her Attention By Another Talented CD, Karen Rea. I Am Grateful For The Experience. Those Were Some Wonderful Times In My Life. It's Good To Know The Academy Will Start To Honor The Work Of Casting Directors With An Oscar. People Don't Realize How Important These Men And Women Are In The Success Of A Film. Thankfully Dianne Crittenden FOREVER Lives On Through Her Collaboration On So Many Excellent Movies. Rest In Peace, Dianne.

The good old times where quality prevailed over DEI and ESG scores. God we where lucky to live in that era.

I recognize Josh Hartnett, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Johnny Galecki, Neil Patrick Harris, Crispin Glover auditioning for this very movie.
