THE THING 2011 (Alien Biology, Assimilation + Ending) EXPLAINED

Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained, and as voted for by everyone in the latest poll, today we’ll be exploring the thing, the 2011 prequel to John Carpenters 1982 classic, itself an adaptation of the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell.
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr and written by Eric Heisserer, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Ulrich Thomsen, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Eric Christian Olsen.
Set roughly a week before the events of the first film, we follow Palaeontologist Kate Lloyd who is invited to a Norwegian research team in Antarctica after they stumble upon something incredible.
Initially intrigued by the alien spacecraft buried beneath the ice and the frozen remains of what appeared to be the pilot, they soon learn the shapeshifting creature was far from dead. As the nightmare fueled entity begins to take over the researchers, the group try their best to stay alive.
