So it wasn't a side hustle but I was trying a fence repair buissiness. And barely making it. Everytime I pray to see if I should look into a 9to5 I would get a fence job. Now I'm so busy with work it's crazy. God is great !!!!!!! He has proved to me that I am doing both what I enjoy and what God wants me to do. Meet many people using the gifts he has given me and to be a light house. And share his word.

I picked up scrapping to keep me off my duff. I had heart bypass surgery in 2014 and I have picked up hobbies to keep me moving. I have been binge watching your channel for the last few months, and within the last month or so it's taken hold. Lately though I had some health issues that have taken me off work for a time. My horde of copper wire was there to keep me from going completely insane. Between my faith and scrapping, all I have is what God puts in front of me. Thanks for the introduction.

God definitely closes one door and opens up others That being said I’ve been doing the same thing for over 20 years and I feel like I could be moving into a new thing. We should never ignore those side hustles they could be God opening up a door to our true purpose.

I worked in the first year of Americorps. At the end of the year we had a seminar on finding a job. A gentleman had written a book, which I lost in a move, but what I took from it was do what you love and the money will follow. I think that happened with your side hustle. I have found it true in my life also

I lost my job, along with 101 others at my employment which was a paper mill. I worked as a paper machine engineer. I got a call from a man that had a hydro electric dam, I went to talk to him and he sold it to me along with a 10 room house which I turned into a Bed and breakfast. I also bought a 2nd hydroelectric dam and I produced electricity for 10 years with one and 14 years with the other. I thank God often that this occurred in my life. I am so much happier than I could have imagined. God is good. Keep asking for prayers for yourself Paul and others. You are a good man.

I worked as a spare parts salesman at a forklift dealership, previous to that I worked for several years at a car parts store in Perth Western Australia. I started a side hustle, (using my experience in spare parts) to sell used car parts online, this ended up being far more profitable than the job I was doing. I was miserable in my job, so one day I just quit, that was 11 years ago. I went and rented a shop and expanded my business. I ran that business for a few years and saved enough money to make a down payment on a modest house in the country. I'm running the business to this day from home but instead of car parts it has morphed into Washing Machines and electronic spare parts. About 3 years ago I started another side hustle to compliment my spare parts business and that is selling refurbished washing machines as several people in town were asking me if I knew where to get good used machines, it was a niche I could fill. Oh, and of course there is the scrap metal hustle to keep me going when sales are slow. I love what I do. I can't imagine ever going back to a 9 to 5 job. The nature of employment is definitely changing as more and more people are finding ways to create their own incomes online through KZbin or E-commerce platforms etc.

Whenever I'm going through a rough patch I think of the 2 footprints in the sand tgat turned to 1 and back to 2. The Lord works in mysterious ways and if that doesn't work life is only what u make of it stop over thinking about stuff and go do the stuff that makes u happy

Open the doors and start filling it up! If you tip the front metal bracket on those fridge shelves, the glass slides right out and you keep the metal. It’s very easy and quick, that’s also how you clean the glass shelves in your own useable fridge. (At least I do.)

Julie can you give me any advice. I'm newly widowed and need to add to my income. I do make quilts but don't know where to sell them. I also love to thrift shop but have no idea how to go about selling anything . Thank you for any help.

@@suesmith5033 Hi Sue. Sorry for your loss. You could try selling your quilts on ebay and etsy. People like the quality of a homemade quilt vs. store bought/manufactured. Ebay is a good place to get your feet wet selling online. The process is pretty much menu driven and there are lots of tutorials on how to do things. You can set your prices by researching sold similar items on ebay. Don't list anything lower than what you're willing to accept for the item even if ebay suggests it. Also, don't cheat yourself on shipping charges. Better to make a guess that will cover the furthest distance you are willing to ship rather than trying to list a low shipping price. Good luck and God bless.

@@suesmith5033 Hi sue you could sell your quilts on facebook marketplace, just google it! Ebay is not as easy and the fees can be quite high. You could always do a carboot or a garage sale and include one of your quilts, see if you get any interest

Sadly that's the going price right now. Very few scrap yards around the country are paying any more than that. And if they are it's still very very low prices

Paul I think I get what your saying. I personally do scraping, recycling, farming, stump removal and delivery service. And have done this for 35 years. Now I did have a job or 2 that I didn't like but made do. My moto is slow, but keep doing things that get me money. At one time I even went around a autorace track and did clean up after weekend, I even made more on beer bottle returns then I got payed for clean up.lol

Hey there, yes my "normal job" which I grew to HATE was being a pastry chef. Circumstances changed and yes I went through some rough years and now I am looking after my parents in their old age and it is rewarding - I get a simple thank you for helping them (which was lacking in my old job) and I am doing better off financially, psychologically AND EMOTIONALLY - Praise God!!! AND - I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. Thank you Lord!!!
