As a natural born OCDed person, I went thru a large slump but now I'm back on track. The way I did this was to have 3 lists: 1. A life list. 2. A house list. 3. A work list. These lists change every day, week and month, even every year. Without these lists I'm totally lost. You could have a travel list like Marisa, or if you have kids or hobbies or a side hustle.

Yes is so true writing things down and I suffer from OCD to do you ever get to the point where you get so overwhelmed by the lists that you feel in your head that you haven’t written it down or you just get too overwhelmed you just get lost within your thoughts and you end up with a pile on the floor because you don’t want to move anything until you complete the task or until it gets done?
@shaut91202 жыл бұрын
And somethings are just on the floor because you can’t get them done until weeks or months and maybe sometimes you’re just sit there and you’ll be so up-to-date with the task but you can’t seem to put the thing away because y’all think are you believe that if you do put it away that you’ll forget to do it. Another problem of mine is writing things down and then putting that list away somewhere because you don’t want to look at that list and then you forget that you have that list and then you have many lists where that is even overwhelming

@@shaut9120 You know, sometimes that's true but what I have invented for myself is a book of lists where all my lists go so they don't get lost. And I keep the most up-to-date list open for that day/week. I also give myself a minimum of 5 huge goals per year so I can cope with it all and the rest can be left unless I have time or energy for them. It's all a matter of finding the best system for you. You can also watch many KZbin videos to help (MuchelleB, Matt D'Avella, Amy Landino, and so on). I hope that helps and good luck finding your stride.

Just love this Marisa, so many things that I already do, but I've picked up many more great ideas. And of course, I just love to listen to your lovely voice. Love and best wishes from an old MVC girl who remembers you well. You were such a kind girl to we first years, and we were grateful for it. Xx

This all sounds great and I used to be so organized that I was almost too organized. (My spices were alphabetized!) I lost all of that when my husband passed away almost 4 years ago. Where do I start to get all of that back? It's overwhelming.

🌸 take one day at a time Start in one room & pick one area to work on. Set aside 20 to 30 mins to get structure back Tip concentrate on all things visible first. Then later on sort things in draws & cupboards once you finish addressing the things you can see. Do this method with room you are mostly occupying first then second popular room, so on. Before you know it 1 month or weeks you will have sorted enough to get ball rolling and in time you will do whole home 🏡☺️✨

Start with the spices again even if it is just one spice at a time, and do this while thinking of all the joy and laughter that you two shared, as I find this will help you to become more motivated and you will look forward to organising again as this will be like your time of happiness to spend with “him respectively’ while getting you back on track, after having to say good bye to a beautiful person. ✌🏾N much ❤️

thanks for the advice. Funny thing is that I would be definitely doing it just for me. When he was alive, he didn't care what the house looked like and contributed more than his share to this glorified mess. He's probably having a fit to think that I was so hard on him about his messes and now I've let things go. I've thought about that a lot.

Its so amazing 😊 I do exactly the same when travelling and throughout my life. Everything has its place and it makes my life easier! Instead of searching for something when I have to leave 😄 Thanks for not feeling so quirky!

Hi Marisa, I was just thinking that I needed to get organized tomorrow. This video popped up in good time. My desk has little pieces of paper where I drop notes down, frustrating when I can't find them. Thanks so much for the sharing the clipboard. I shall do that from now on. The shelves organizer for the suitcase is brilliant. Thanks Marisa for sharing. This helped me a lot. Much love Marisa. 🤗❤❤

I used to be so organized that I was a pain in the butt to everyone around me but it made me feel good to know where everything was. Now after four years of grieving the loss of my husband, I've lost all of that organization and don't know where to start to get it back in shape (other than moving out and starting all over).

How lovely To have a bag packed! Or just buy something as you think of it. Unlike you, tho, I don't have the funds to buy at will. so I have to keep a list. Also I can't afford two separate wardrobes.......but I'll get there! I AM ENOUGH!
