Always great to see the finds you guys get, but be careful with the more modern PC games as they usually require the CD key. The more 90’s based pc cd games didn’t really have the cd key at the time, but the CD key was likely a way to prevent making duplicates and early days of pirating games.

You’re right Riff it doesn’t just happen to you guys, but I don’t think you realize how different those swap meets are compared to other states. We definitely don’t have any swap meets of that quality where I’m at. And the couple ones that are here, the vendors live on eBay ASKING prices.

I live here, and go to the same swap meets that pgs is going to. I will tell you this FACTUALLY, the deals that they are making it look like they are stumbling upon week after week, after month, etc...just isn't true. Can you catch a vendor slipping...ABSOLUTELY, but this is super rare. 95% of the venders are pricing their untested/dirty video game items at ebay pricing or higher.

Dude, it's the same out here. I go to the same swap meets as pgs. The video game items are at ebay prices or higher. The scores that they are getting are a large percentage of the time set up in advance and they make it look like they stumble across it. That's why they get there at 5am, so it looks like it's just randomly sitting on the table. If you go at 5am, 99% of the vendors aren't even set up yet, hell 99% aren't even fully set up at 7am. Now, do we find stuff out here...YES! I see way more cool shit here then back in the midwest, however like I mentioned, they are priced accordingly or worse then accordingly. Some vendors know how to research but a large percentage don't. They just look at the most expensive listing and assume that's what it's worth. They are not checking sold listings or an average of solds to get a value. Can you catch a vendor slipping occasionally, sure. But that is not common at all. If you do get a good deal you're gambling on whether or not it's actually going to work. Lot's of swindlers at the swap meet too.

Riff is buying things for content. A LOT of items that he is buying in not the great deal, as it's portrayed. Sometimes the sold listings that he's showing is not even the actual item he found (it's similar), or he takes the highest sold listing price, not the average. He's definitely selling the sizzle not the steak, but that's business. Plus it's no secret out here that the deals that they are getting are not just stumbled upon, certain vendors are giving them a heads up with what they have and when to be there. Again, that's business...it's just the portrayal.
