True story. I met him in 2014, and bought a pair of special edition of Trickers boots from him. We got to talking about our love of military watches. Then I noticed the 18K White Gold Sub he was wearing. He saw me staring at it. He then took it off and let me examine it. Man, it was so heavy compared to a regular Sub I was wearing. Never forget that day talking watches with him.

The watch that was found on the beach was found just down the road from where I live at the SBS (special boat service) barracks at Hamworthy beach, poole Dorset. I often see them training in the harbour and wonder if any other milsubs were lost at sea waiting to be discovered. I'd love to know more about this peice, who found it? Who lost it!

The Submariner is probably the only Rolex I like... it's the only one that isn't flashy and catered towards douche-bags that need recognition. The old Military Submariners really are spectacular pieces, though I will probably go for a modern sub and put it on a NATO strap because I must admit I am fond of the cyclops. I'm actually getting into diving and plan to use it for it's intended function so I won't feel like a tool wearing it around :)

Adam Breard I know Adam, i come from Seiko and i was perfectly aware of that before buying mine but don't you think it's sad to only let the douches wear this great watch ? Besides, i think the new horrible subC is a good way to separate the wheat from the chaff among Rolex customers.
