Your exercises help a lot to understand the inner harmony in the text. This video explains the idea very clearly.

Could you please add some discourse markers in your next chunking exercises?
@NativeEnglishHacks
@NativeEnglishHacks 3 жыл бұрын
Well, that's certainly related, but it's a bit of a different topic and more about vocabulary and navigating speech than pronunciation and smoothness of speech, which is the focus here. I'll be making chunking videos for grammar and vocabulary (including things like discourse markers) in the future :) I also might try to use clips from other sources as the basis of some lessons like this, so you'll probably see some markers in that.

Oh, I see. You can do this exercise with any audio source that has a transcription. Podcasts are a good option

I like this kind of lesson a lot. I think it would be good to use a clip of a real conversation, if possible!

could you make a video on the consonant clusters kt, ft, and pt? ive seen some teachers saying it's a D, but is it really? doesn't it sound weird? and how do I even make that D? I don't know what to do with the words after, comfortable, chapter, actor, viktor, etc, because I would pronounce them with a strong t before. help
@NativeEnglishHacks
@NativeEnglishHacks 3 жыл бұрын
I seem to be getting a lot of questions about this, so I'll add it to the list of the main course. I can tell you now, though, that you definitely *don't* want to do a strong T there.
