I love the Three Kingdoms era. I first got a taste of it from the Dynasty Warriors 3 as a teen, fell in love with the franchise. Eventually I found other media to enjoy that depicted the era, such as the Three Kingdoms Chinese tv series and the wonderful Red Cliffs films. Thanks for the video

funny enough if you look at the classic series like the 1994 version, it was quite entertaining and there are a lot of meme material in them (to the chinese community at least)

The games weren't accurate but it became a massive fan of the romance of the three kingdoms. Hopefully ya dive more into the warriors and kingdoms even though I know alot about it but just to see more of this makes me happy. Great video

When we talk about the Three Kingdoms Period, we always thought of few things in mind: Dynasty Warriors and the Total War games. Films and series such as Red Cliff, three kingdoms resurrection of the dragon. Events like the oath of the peach garden and Zhao Yun being a babysitter for once in a while. Lol

@@fraderiktan1505 Yes, it's an anime about great historical human warriors fighting the gods in a 13 battle tournament, for the right of Humanity's continued survival. Lu Bu is featured in fight #1 or #2. And he may be the most iconic character in the show. It's pretty dope if you ask me. If you like history and Anime, it's excellent. Even if you're not necessarily a fan of anime, if you're a fan of History, especially historical Warriors, you'll probably love it anyway. And if you're a fan of Mythology, spirituality, religion, or the study of any of the above, let alone if you find it as entertaining as reading or watching Comics, movies, TV, Etc, you'll definitely love it.

Like many other commenters here I played Dynasty Warriors as a kid but my initial introduction to this era was actually from a different game, Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon, an Age of Empires clone. I'm a huge fan of the period and media portraying it though I am admittedly not as knowledgeable on it as I maybe should be given my admiration. Thankfully it has been getting more and more attention from the history side of youtube over the years which makes for an easy and accessible way to learn more about it.

i can imagine if this were to be romaticized it will be like reading war and peace, who knows it might be even longer than war and peace (if there are countless scene of important figure)(which i can see why often kdrama seems to only taken in some period within the three kingdom, instead of making the entire three kingdom period a seried of itself)

Two (2) errors: (1) Wu and Shu did not form an ally to defeat Cao Cao's army in the famous Red Cliff War. It was the war between Wu, led by Sun Quan and Cao Cao, who was defeated and retreated north. (2) Zhao Yun was not killed in any battle. He died of old age peacefully in Shu at the age of 80+
