I appreciate what you are doing Randy. As an active duty service member along almost 20 years, I’m very much working toward taking on professional fishing as a goal here in the next couple of years. I don’t have years of high school, college, or tournament fishing. I don’t have contacts throughout the industry and won’t be able to make my way with loads of money to waste when I do finally make the transition. I learn so much by watching you and Johnny and am looking forward very much to when I can dedicate my time to fishing. Thanks for the info.

Fish the Moment is hands down the very best instructional fishing channel on KZbin or anywhere else and Jonny improved the channel by adding you to it Randy. Also, I purchased the Megabass squarebill 1.2 and 1.5 because of your recommendation and would have bought the 2.0 but Tackle Warehouse was out of them. Havent fished them much but soon I will run them exclusively until I catch a bunch on them so I know I have beaten the learning curve. Great video brother as usual. Randy, I know I speak for so many anglers, especially the beginners, when I say you rock! And thank you! You and Johnny both do such a fantastic job sharing all the information that you have worked so hard for over the years. I'm sure that it was not as easy come as you guys are letting it be easy go. It takes so much time to go through the paces and gain the knowledge and wisdom of your trade and passion... and that is not lost to many of us who tune in to soak up whatever you guys are giving away with each video. I'm hoping to be in a position to take a couple of yours and Johnny's seminars in the near future. I'm unable to fish much currently, and I want to wait until I have an upcoming trip before I delve into anything extensive. So that the info will be as fresh on my brain as possible and I can put it into practice immediately. And I am more than happy to pay the $100. That is a steal for what you guys are sharing with us! Anyway, thanks again! Oh, I'm not trying to "plug" someone else's channel, but Tylersreelfishing is pretty good too. He reminds me alot of Johnny in alot of ways. But I just commented on one of his videos boasting about great his lessons were, and how great you guys are. Check him out if you haven't. Trust me, I have no ties to him at all. I don't even know him. No more than I know you or Johnny. I just wanted to point out, in the same spirit of openness and giving that you guys teach with, another young man who is doing something really good ☺️🎣🐟❤️💯💪

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Randy I live on Lake Granbury Texas. It has been quite a challenge fishing a river lake. We have a canal here and I have noticed on the fish finder that our fish tend to be chasing Chad in deep water in the hot days of August . Can you talk about fish at 30 feet deep and what lures and methods to learn to fish in deep water. Our Water is not clear . Not muddy but just a dark green. That can change if we get a lot of rain and the river will bring in sediment so we have a big , difference in our water clarity from spring being a little muddy to fall being kinda clear with no run off water coming in. I know that’s a couple of questions , sorry. But I really would like to know about deep water fishing in late summer . And then changing water colors on river lakes.

There is a special Megabass lure that made a believer out of me and has sadly been discontinued called the "DeepX200T in a 1/2oz. It is so good, you could win a tournament with it. I bought up a bunch of them here in Japan and on Ebay a short time ago and have a secret stash. Megabass does have a revised version called the "Deep-X200LBO" but it's not as good IMO.

I just started fishing my megabass square bill and it performs well. I just hate the treble hooks. All treble hooks. I seem to hook myself (clothes) so well. I just caught a nice bass on my S-crank and the silly bass flipped in my canoe and caught my shirt sleeve with the back end treble, in three spots. I actually had to snip off one of the trebles since it was stuck through twice and there was no way it was coming off without cutting my sleeve off. I really like the bait, I am just not sure it would be ok to put single hooks on? What's everyone's opinion on that?
