I believe because of the unreasonable company metrics, many employees are not appreciated and aren’t able to completely meet the company performance expectations and that’s why employees are lacking self-esteem and confidence to ask for anything from their companies

My employer will pay out up to 4 weeks of PTO if we leave the company. I think of it as a stored exit bonus and like to keep it there.

In my state, they are required to pay out any and ALL earned or accrued PTO even if it is months worth and a use it or lose it policy is also illegal.

Why demonise the tax office. Pay your taxes and you are fine. Commit a crime and then you’re in trouble.
