Thrunite rocks! And TC15 will be my next flashlight purchase. One of the best things with Thrunite is the user interface with low, mid and high in a cycle and memorised. Firefly and turbo are not, but have instant access instead. And if you use mid mode and want to change to low mode the cycle starts at low mode so you don't need to cycle through high mode to get low mode. Very good in my opinion.

I just ordered a ThruNite Neutron 2C V3 because of this video. It looks like the perfect light for me. My main EDC flashlight has been a Milwaukee flashlight. This is a huge upgrade. Thank you!

Just bought the Neutron based on your review and love it. Yes, the EAGTAC D25 is perfect for most of my tasks, but the Neutron is really bright in a package that is not that much bigger. Thanks for the great work Nick, Happy New Year!

Damn it nick why don’t you have 1mil subs yet. I think you’re the best reviewer on KZbin

Just an FYI its not recommended to run the neutron on a single cr123 battery. So I might remove that as a positive when you say it can run on one.

I now have two TC15s: one black and one MT Outsider. I also have Neutron 2C V3. I prefer the traditional knurling of Neutron before the pattern of TC15 which does not help enough with the grip: it's a bit slippery. But: the bodies of Neutron and TC15 are interchangeable! This means the knurled Neutron body can be used with TC15. Also worth to mention: the MT Outsider has a bit matt surface with more friction so the tan body is not slippery like the black. TC15 is not perfect( I don't either like or trust the rubber cover to the usb port) but the user interface and mode spacing of TC15 is PERFECT. TC15 is my favorite EDC light!

I have the TC15 in neutral white, and it has replaced my BLF A6 for EDC for the time being. It’s super bright, compact, and has a nice UI. The few criticisms that I have are the light turns off momentarily when hit on the end (weak battery spring?), the battery indicator light doesn’t stay on when light is off for finding it in the dark, and it doesn’t have a fold over clip for ability to clip on a hat brim as a makeshift headlamp.

I wish they would use a little watch lume paint on the button. No battery drain in off mode and it would make finding that button so much easier. But heck an option to keep that LED on is a great idea too. Firmware update!

Thanks for the great comparison. I’m only carrying the Eagtac D3A these days, but if I decide something a little bigger is OK, I’ll check out the Neutron. It will pair nicely with my knife of the same name. If they revise it to have a high CRI option, I’ll be even more tempted.

I bought two of those recently, one for myself and one as a gift. Power of the flashlight is awesome, one thing that I don't like though is the button on the side, I am a big fan of buttons on the bottom like tactical flashlights, this way if you need to get it out quick in the darkness you can have it on in no time, rather than searching for the button in the dark. Button aside I like the flashlight.

I'm looking for a flashlight I had a few years ago .Atactical by truenite it's a cheaper version of that one works great just the same. Low medium high and turbo . And strobe . Can you help me out please ?

I just purchased a streamlight microstream for my first edc flashlight just to see if I like and use a flashlight in my pocket everyday. I told myself that if I find myself using it enough, I'll justify something a little larger and more capable to carry, then have the microstream as a center console/backup light. The microstream hasn't even come yet, and here I am, researching those larger, more capable lights. hahaha.

My favorite light is the olight m2r. The only real issue I have with it is olights proprietary charging system. I'm thinking of buying an 18650 charger but the "for ultra high drain devices" battery it uses gives me pause. Anyone willing to help?
@ribstein77146 жыл бұрын
@Lets Bouncetrudeau2018 maybe I just got a lemon but it seems inconsistent with whether or not it's charging.
@ahmadaamer66 жыл бұрын
I think Olights charging system works well. I don’t like it because I have to remember another cable when I go places. I always carry a MicroUSB cable, so having a light that charges by it is better for me.

kek i had an m21 warrior for 5+ years as an EDC with 0 problems, then the twist-to-change-modes thing went glitchy so i got an olight r50 pro seeker dem 3200 lumens

@Lets Bouncetrudeau2018 i LOVE the new olight charging system (SO FAR) after a few months of ownership that could change in the future and if it does then my liking of it will change too

I love this light. However I use this as a mechanic and if you even lightly touch the ground or very light tap, the light will turn off for a second then come back on. Has been like this since I first got it. Does anybody else have this problem?
@harrypeterson92872 жыл бұрын
Mine just recently stopped working. It only blinks and I've tried everything. Customer service was barely understandable and refused to replace or fix the light for some unspecified reason despite having a warranty. Get something else a little better quality like a Streamlight or Fenix IMO.

Thanks for this review. I ended up with the TC15 simply for the safer (though shorter lasting) battery and the turbo/insanity mode because I am easily amused. Love the light. One thing though, holy cow does this thing get hot! Even in high mode for 20 minutes, it can be uncomfortable to hold. Does the neutron have the same issue in it's equivalent lumen turbo mode?
@robertsaum51795 жыл бұрын
It has twice the lumens in the turbo mode the Neutron has. The reason it needs the IMR, much higher drain that is not safe with the high power drain of the TC15, I am not real impressed with this reviewer! Seems to leave a lot of details out!

The Neutron isn't intended to run on CR123A (3.0V non-rechargeable). The voltage is too low, and it won't perform well. It will run fine on 16340/RCR123A (3.7V nominal rechargeable). There's also 18350, which will work with the Neutron's short tube. 18350 has more capacity, and does come in IMR. The Keeppower 1200 mAh is one of the best performing of those.
@Tankman3336 жыл бұрын
Zak Wilson i knew that!
@BrianMiller19736 жыл бұрын
Tell Thrunite that; they advertise it at CR123A compatible.
@nitrorc4life14 жыл бұрын
@@BrianMiller1973 know this video is old, but for others who read this. The neutron indeed DOES use cr123a batteries, you have to use TWO of them, 6 volts, the flashlight is rated to 9 volts
