This version is so awesome. This is truly a tribute to Garth Brooks. This song got me turned onto State of Mine and No Resolve. They’re both amazing groups that show nothing but respect to the original. That’s the same reason I like the a cappella group Home Free. The respect. 4:50 the one downside to Garth Brooks. He’s too much of a businessman and restricts his music. I’ve digitized his cds on my computer and load it on an device I can play through my car stereo. 8:29 they have another version of this song where they do Garth’s third verse. Just go to both No Resolve and State of Mine’s KZbin channels and work your way down their video list. They’re all great.

I was shocked that it wasn’t the long version- kept waiting for someone to flip and ask why they added more- but the truth is that is how it was and they made Garth take it out- without it- the whole story isn’t even told- Garth said that I wishes he had caught back more and kept it in. thunder rolls is very dark and traumatic and it makes conversations happen- if anyone sees this- go watch the long version

I love GB but got into Sate of Mine and No Resolve a little while back and I agree this song is more of a rock than country song, there's a version with Brandon Davis singing the extra verse, Jodway's voice especially the first two lines of chorus are the best part
