For me Big Bertha is my favorite for a big reason you hadn't mentioned. With the reduction in max rate of fire, you actually reach the max rate instantly which immediately activates the T5 perks as soon as you pull the trigger. Also, since the ROF is low you can have the T5 perk activated for a longer time then you normally would. Specifically, the one that gives damage resistance. Being able to have 50% damage resistance activated instantly any time you need it, and active for a very long time if necessary, is a pretty big perk.

What mods do you end up using in t2 and 3 for that to function id assuming you just go for the 3rd option in t2 with better min and higher scaling and then either damage or aoe damage in t3 since the min and max rate boost in t3 would mean it isnt instant.

also having slower fire rate (but more dmg per shot) means your bullets are more efficient and you don't burn through your ammo so much, also more accuracy means less missed shots, so overall 0.5 magazine size and -110 max ammo isn't a big drawback

Suggestion: When listing the non-relative effects of an overclock (e.g. '+7 direct damage'), give the unmodified base value for reference. An overclock that takes a weapon from 5 damage to 12 damage is very different from one that takes a weapon from 20 damage to 27 damage. Also, the way you talk about multiplicative effects verbally is a bit confusing. Instead of "This overclock modifies the fire rate by a value of 0.7", I'd suggest "This overclock multiplies the fire rate by 0.7" or "This overclock reduces fire rate by 30%".

I don’t tend to run combat mobility because it changes my muscle memory and reflexes a bit too much. I’m used to a slowdown and a more focus down attack for gunner, and having that super speed while trying to target is rough. Neurotoxin however is spectacular, especially when you amplify the fire rate and area damage size in mods. Shoot at a crowd and run away, watch them die as you’re just refilling health casually. Mix it with the railgun for the good single target burst damage and you’re golden

i love carpet bomber, and more again since the buff it let me just shoot in the direction of the danger, and hit everything, even jellyfish and shredder are a cakewalk with it and on top of that, its very ammo efficient

I adore the weapon feel of the minigun, but I have so much trouble using it for crowd control. I use the autocannon for that; it feels so satisfying to take chunks out of a horde with each shot.

The stun mod is really helpful for crowd control. Also try to shoot while jumping and running so you dont loose speed. If you equip the coilgun with fear and 1 bar chargeup you can always whip it out, fear everything and shoot it down.

Gunner isn't for crowd control it's for consistently high dps. Engi and driller do crowd control better, gunner is the go to for the smaller crowds for bulk/dreads since they get the best efficiency. A quick twirl with the crisper or a spinning death from engi will wipe out a swarm far more efficiently than the gunners primary, he should focus down the close specials while the scout focuses the long range ones.

It probably isnt the best out if the gunner's primaries but i personally really enjoy shredding swarms with the carpet bomber overclock

The first time I tried this weapon, I'd just unlocked it, and it auto-equipped. I didn't realize before I went into a mission, and when I was forced to test it for the first time, I was shocked at how different it was to Leadstorm. It initially left a bad taste in my mouth, and ever since, I hated it. But this video gave me a better understanding of what it's supposed to be, so I'm gonna boot up DGR, and give this weapon another shot.

In my specific way of Gunnerying, I'd build the autocannon for "sniping", anti boss goodness. The Talking Stick (the minigun) already scratches the small bug th xD

_"Hit armour spots or weakspots..."_ No... radial damage can't hit weakspots for bonus damage... Carpet Bomber wouldn't help in that regard... and the interaction between radial damage and armour, is bugged, and means it's almost entirely ineffective against it...

note that you shouldnt use it to mine things that can be reached normally by the team, since it does reduce the minerals gained. most sources of explosions/non-pickaxe mining don't reduce the mineral count of what they mine (except for not applying any dark morkite or pots o gold bonus), but the thunderhead and the minigun do. still great for when you don't have a scout or bosco or if the resource just isn't being mined for whatever reason. better some resources than no resources!

​@TheRealCatof no what kill you if you mvent is on point is still like sting tails. acid spitters and menaces while the team can help with these if your in a extream something like Burning hell-volatile bullets is a lot better around than say Carpet bomer-lead spray. I'm not saying that the Autocannon is bad just oustde neurotoxin there are more effective options especially in modded play tho playing Haz 6x 2 has shifted my view a bit

Personally my favorite weapon in the game. Satisfying to fire, versatile, and is a POWERHOUSE with nt payload. Usually i pair nt payload thunderhead with the elephant rounds revolver, and my favorite grenade, the leadburster.

i personally prefer burning hell minigun as my go-to. but i pick big bertha in eliminations alongside a compact mags BRT. empty mag, pull out brt and spray until born ready does its thing. repeat until the thing dies

I wasnt a fan of stock Thunderhead...I do have a couple OCs for it now though. I might have to revisit it. Leadstorm us my go to of the 3, though id rather have a normal belt fed lmg.

Neurotoxin is the only reason IA kso leveled gunner. Just shoot a swarm, they get feared by you and never return cause they bled out. This seasons ammo debuffs is super annoying tho, I liked the 220 magazine, but ammo efficiency is super bad

go into training ground and activate dmg numbers, If a target takes direkt dmg it will NOT take area dmg! there is only 1 OC which can do "both" and thats Impact Defelction (in fact its 2 times AOE dmg)
