The Tieren is the gruntiest of grunt mobile suits.

I kind felt that the Tieren was too boring back in 2007, but I've realized it's the best real mobile suit to date.

Just a heads up, for those interested. There is a 3D printable conversion kit for the HG Tieren to make the artillery variant, since Bandai will probably never give us a kit for that. It's on Cults3D. Designer just put it up about 3 weeks ago. Also, the rails on the space type's gun are radiators to distribute heat away from the barrel. Contrary to popular belief, space is not cold and removing heat is actually more difficult.

If I remember correctly the tanks on Tieren space type are filled with water because water propulsion in space is a thing. And that's likely why they put the tanks in that position so it can be used as shield in emergency because when water tank burst it's not gonna explode violently. As for the gun they added blades on the side that can act as melee weapon and also to dissipate heat better. The Taozi that Sergey used in season 2 is identical to Soma's pink Taozi except with addition of Advanced GN-X beam rifle that has GN particle tank built in so non-GN MS can use the weapon.

if you have the NG 1/100 Tieren, it was a very cool grunt, have front lamp, crane and infantries. I also have the Space commander tieren but heavily customised like an Armored core alongside my HG Zowort Heavy

I feel the same way about the Man Rodi. Round green grunty boi with lots of surface detail to panel & paint on the fly. Quite a looker, the little HG that could. Bummer tho, the Garm & Spinner Rodis are completely sidelined. Also, since Setsuna had a close-range custom Union Flag, i think it's a shame Lockon didn't join him with a Tieren & a sick railgun or something.

Just finished 00 and I really liked it! I think it succeeded in feeling like a more "real-world" Gundam AU, and grunt mobile suits like the Anf and Tieren helped sell that.

i think you missed the "i" in the name, it's Tieren, "Tee-air-en". The commander has the squared head, not twin sensors on sides of head.

To me, the Leo still seems gruntier, with its intentionally bland, cost-efficient, everyman design. The Tieran is the _tankiest_ grunt suit. The Tieran, compared to the Leo, is like a tank compared to an infantryman.
