I agree with Taldanmus that you have the finest and clearest drum instructions ever posted. Thanks so much for sharing.

HI, greetings from Great Northern, Finland. You make those difficult rhytms so easy to understand and along with that understanding, to learn. I found your youtube channel today and after wathcing some 5 videos from your gallery I recognise they all have same easy-to-handle level. You make things very easy to understand with those enough-slow-frequency examples. Thanks for those videos. I'm propably going to use them to make my musical horizon wider by learning new exotic rhytms. Thumbs up!

Superb post Michael de Miranda ! The last pattern was heavily used in Hindi Movies in India, especially in 1970's, when they were shooting sequences of a train particularly driven by a steam engine. I used to play bass at backing by starting V then III then root note the I (for melody in G major, it is D-B-G) In cases, where chord structure was having frequent transits of minors coming it, I used to play basically VIII, V & I, because the III bears the signature of chord being major or minor.

Thank you! I have to look for this rhythm too, because I don't know it. When I find it I'll make a lesson about it.
@MichaeldeMiranda13 жыл бұрын
@shogunemperor I don't what pattern you mean. Most of the caixa patterns are played with the rumbaclave accents in this video except of the rhythm of Timbalada. Perhaps you can say at what time in the video the pattern of the caixa is played, then I can give a better answer.

@@MichaeldeMiranda Hello! Oh I do indeed. Not just finding the new tone/timbre, but being introduced to this library of new patterns. BTW FWIW I've rather addicted myself to going *_always_** L R L R L R* ... not sure just why I convinced myself of this dogma ;-) cheers!

good job Mestre! great explanations 👍 i'm percussionist from Palermo Italy and i grow up like musician in Pelorinho long time ago with Mestre Prego ( banda escola meninos do Pelo' ) and your patterns pushed me back in time 👍 for a while i played in London but i don't have my timbaul so for emergency i bought a pair of LP pro bongos and i play cuban patterns using timbalada & Pelo' levadas in a couple of latin bands and the sound was great better than classic martillo one. the loud remember Bragada' bahia band groove. do you have frevo & galope patterns for the timbaul?? btw you Rock meu rei 👍 ciao
