The title just says it all… Great vid! I believe that one of two scenarios will happen… 1. Randle is traded again… 2. Ant wants out in a year or two… Edit: another scenario - Rob is just so elite is camp so they traded KAT because they believe Rob will be that good, but it is 99.999% not the scenario😅 (I wish it was)…

I actually think it is an OK trade - most of it makes sense for both teams, but you are right about Randle. It just doesn't feel like it will work as well with him in the lineup. He is still a really good player, so maybe he and the others will figure it out.

I agree with everything you said, the Julius Randle fit is clunky but the Wolves definitely needed to have more flexibility in terms of their cap. The second apron is doing the reverse effect of what it is supposed to be doing in that case since it forced the Wolves to get rid of homegrown talent.

@@JBRitchie8 Yeah isn’t that funny? It’s honestly amazing how people maneuver this stuff, so much thought and strategy. That second apron really makes teams look in the mirror and say “Am I good enough?” Cuz if you say yes and you’re wrong then you might be stuck.

Curious on your reasoning (or inside knowledge) for Shannon getting major minutes out of the gate. In my extremely deep league (320+ rostered), both Minott and Shannon are on my shortlist to replace a player I just moved to an IR slot. Also wondering if Garza could get 10+ minutes a game this year. Thoughts?

@@matthewmcclure3181 Great question! So I’ll start with Shannon, that’s just me presuming his talent. I personally think he’s that good already and I think it’ll be hard to keep him off the court. Obviously I’m not in practice so I don’t know, but in my evaluation of him I think his talent is that high. As far as Garza, early on probably. Randle is out to start the year so presumably Naz and Rudy start. I think they feel more than okay throwing Garza in for 17ish minutes.

They would need to resign Brandon Ingram and that would put them in the same position they were pre Kat trade, from a financial stand point it really doesnt make sense to trade for Ingram. Thats why I believe the Wolves dont plan on resigning Randle. Once he declines his player option they might try to get a sign and trade done to get back something for him now that they would be under the second apron. The full scope of the trade wont be known until next off season but im 100% they dont plan on keeping Randle long term. If they do keep him, the trade would look even dumber than it does right now.

@@Thedrunkguy1 Yeah I tend to agree with that logic. One thing it’ll be interesting to watch is how Naz does to start the year. Seems like Randle is missing the start of the year so I guess Naz gets a chance to shine.

The Brandon Ingram thing is no way would the Pelican sweeten the deal with a high value player and a pick - your favorite Knicks fan.

@@_AVC_ my bad. The reason a Brandon Ingram deal isn’t equal is because the Pelicans wouldn’t be willing to attach assets such as picks and another valued player to make it work. I think Julius Randle is a way to bring in a couple maneuverable contracts to trade themselves out of this mess.

@@FritzAlcindorJr Ahhh gotcha gotcha. I mean they certainly have the assets to do so. I guess we just don’t know what they are willing to do. I do think they could have just not wanted to give KAT to them, but hell maybe they could have gotten a useable pick from them. The world will never know though 😂
