So f(x) debuted back in 2009. They are from SM Entertainment. f(x) in math means function, which basically means that they can have different outcomes thus them having different concepts. I also remember f(x) also means "flower x" that has something to do with the chromosome (ya'll add correct me on this). Their songs were mainly on the electronic/dance/pop sound but as the years went by they always experiment in their music and thats why they are labeled as "the most experimental group in kpop" because their songs are always conventional, out of the norm. People refer to their group image/concept as "teen crush" because they aren't cute but not sexy either. (the group now that reminds me so much of f(x) is ITZY.) They have 5 beautiful members. 1. Victoria - The leader. Sub-Vocal. Lead dancer. The mom of the group. Is chinese so.. QUEEN OF CHINA. Flexible queen. She's an actress in China now and is extremely popular. I MEAN VERY POPULAR SHE MUST BE SO RICH RN AS WE SPEAK. 2. Amber - She's the first female idol that is a tomboy. A rapper. A social butterfly (literally.) Can speak Korean, Mandarin, English. She's Chinese but is from the US. Underrated dancing and singing skills. Produces her own music. Listen to her songs, she's great! 3. Luna - GODDAMN HEAVENLY POWERFUL VOCALS!!! She's the main vocal and also kind of the main dancer?? (they are all good dancers i swear) Her vocals match Taeyeon and Wendy, I mean it's SM lol Underrated visuals! She's an angel and I love her so much. Listen to Free Somebody, it's her debut solo song. 4. Krystal - Youngest. 1/2 of the maknae line. Lead vocalist but can be main vocal in another group because of her honey sweet voice. Face of the group and the center. Underrated dance skills. Younger sister of Jessica (former member of Girls' Generation/SNSD) Looks intimidating but is an actual sweetheart. FASHION QUEEN. Oh and she's also a great actress! 5. Sulli - The visual. Sub vocal. She left the group in 2015 and pursued a career in acting. She was also a child star and she is a beloved person in the industry. Sadly was also one of the most hated. But she is a an angel. She didn't deserve all the hate. She's very different, and talented. I LOVE HER SO MUCH THIS IS MAKING ME SAD. I hope this helps! f(x) is really a great group. I hope you react to more of their songs. My personal favorites are rum pumpum, nu abo, RED LIGHT!!, 4walls. You also have to listen to their album Pink Tape aka the Bible. Nuff said.

the name of the group also had another meaning, the mathematical function, where X has different values based off the equation it is put in. This is supposed to mean that the X is each member, and that the result of their work will all be different just like how the band's concept varies each comeback to showcase the individuality of each of the members, their unique talents and charms. Just wanted to add this because it just works with how they're able to do concepts that most likely only they can pull off 💕

SM Entertainment really did them dirty after 2015. 4 Walls was amazing, but now SM has just left them in the dust. And most of them left SM anyways (except the status of Victoria is kinda unknown in terms of her contract), so now I am even more confused if SM will even consider them a group under them. But long story short, f(x) will never be forgotten, and honestly, they will ever remain one of my favourite girl groups of all time, and still are.

F(x) was ahead of its time. They had a very different sound, very experimental. They were very consistent with that and they made it work so well. Their album Pink Tape is definitely a work of art. It's considered a "Bible", every song is unconventional and complex-sounding, something no other girl group has done before (as for boy groups, SHINee is their counterpart). OMG I’m so happy. They’re my ultimate favourite Kpop group. Most unique by far and their style and concept continuously evolves and changes. Hence the name f(x) - like in maths, the answer varies depending on the value of “x”. They debuted as a “sister” group to SHINee, which makes it even more creepier how a member of each group committed suicide.. “Electric Shock” is their most popular and successful song that went viral at the time and “Red Light” is arguably the most unique song in Kpop that you either love or hate. Their entire albums are masterpieces with almost every song being single worthy. They were the third most popular girl group at one time next to SNSD and 2NE1.

Since fx and shinee were under the same label, I always saw fx and shinee as the sibling groups of each other. They both were such quirky/edgy dance groups. They were very “hipster” of their time ☺️ it was a real treat to see both of them debut. They brought a real different air to kpop. And awesome dancers 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🔥🔥🔥

She was well-known for her tom-boyish look and behavior, which she was probably the first girl in kpop to have. Luna: Main vocal and lead dancer, Korean. Probably one of the best female vocals kpop has ever had, super talented dancer as well. Sulli: vocalist, lead rapper, visual, Korean. She left the group in 2015, and then sadly passed away last year. She was very well known for her visuals. Krystal: Lead vocalist, maknae, Korean/American. She is the younger sister of Jessica from SNSD. She dated Kai from EXO a few years ago. Back then, SM liked to pair up their male and female groups as "sibling groups". Yeah, the reason the video had the posters & signs like that is because it's the debut. Inside the theater, each girl's room is supposed to represent their personality as part of the introduction. You have to listen to Electric Shock, it is and probably still is their most iconic song to date, and it is iconic in kpop in general. Came out in 2012, and is one of my favourite f(x) songs ever. Also 4 Walls is amazing, and that's when Sulli left f(x) back in 2015 to pursue a solo career. Those two songs are my favourite f(x) songs. Btw let's blame Korean people for the death of Sulli, and I'm Korean. I hate that Korean society put her down like that ever since she debuted, and I'm appalled at my own culture. I will always cherish all f(x) members: Victoria (leader and main dancer), Amber (main rapper), Krystal (lead vocal and visual), Luna (main vocal), and Sulli (lead rapper), and I hope the remaining members are still doing well on their own. My bias is Luna. She’s so sweet and friendly, but a bad bihh on stage. Her voice is so beautiful and powerful and one of the best dancers in kpop. Her solo music is full of masterpieces. You’re right that fx is very different from other groups. You will experience this more and more as you listen to their later music. I was actually thinking to myself why f(x) feels different musically, and I came to the conclusion that it might be because they were made to be the official rival/female version of their lable mate SHINee. Back in the day (2004-2011) groups from the same companies were largely marketed as the female or male version of their senior group, usually the group that had debuted one to three years prior. For example: Girls' Generation was the female version of Super Junior, 2NE1 was the female version of Big Bang, B2ST (BEAST) was the male version of 4Minute, 9Muses was the female version of ZE:A, and so on! This would usually give fans an idea in which direction the group's music and overall style would lead them. SHINee in and of themselves were different from other groups of their time, so having f(x) mirror that diversity in their own way was a big shock. Both groups made music in the "Teen Pop" genre, making music that targeted pre-teens and teens ages 11-14. This particular age group weren't usually targeted, due to just the large amount of songs about love, heartbreak, partys', and other "adult" things teens couldn't necessarily relate to. f(x) used and stuck with a fusion of electric and dance pop sound to do so, which at the time mainly boy groups did. They along with other girl groups like 4Minute and 2NE1 really pushed the envelope of what girl groups could do musically. It was the best K-pop album of 2014. Also "4 Walls" if you're into electropop. Their single, "4 Walls", if I am not mistaken, is the first K-pop song with a touch of UK garage genre.

I'm so glad you loved f(X). They were definitely ahead of their time and broken away from the typical girl group mold. It's unfortunate that they did not get the amount of success they deserved in the Korean market. Also, the status of their group is in a limbo now that Amber, Vic, and Luna have left SM. Sulli left them after her dating scandal a few years ago, in case you were not aware.

f(x) debuted back in September 5th(?) 2009 with their song La Cha Ta Their fandom name is MeU (I'm a MeU too♡) Their official color is Pearl Light Periwinkle Throughout the years they've been labeled as "The Most experimental group in kpop" as their songs r very different and unique in their time (honestly all their songs are ahead of it's time, if I want to compare how they were unique and different with nowadays group I would say NCT and ITZY). They received a lot of praise from critics for their discography, and their album Pink Tape is the number 1 album for Billboard's "TOP 25 KPOP ALBUMS OF THE DECADE (2010s)". Members: 1. Victoria (Chinese) - The Leader and The Mom♡ of the group (she is so much older than the others hence why they consider her as the mom, they literally called her Vic eomma). MAIN DANCER and Vocalist of the group,very caring and cute, have an EXTREME FLEXIBILITY (she is very popular for that) and underrated dancing skills (she studied in Beijing Dance academy(?), a very prestigious dancing school in china). Very good at acting, she is so popular in china bcoz of her acting roles but she is also an awesome singer. She just put out her 1st Studio Album this year♡♡♡. 2. Amber (Taiwanese-American) - Main Rapper, Vocalist (but seriously she is a Main Vocal material, her voice is heavenly awesome). First ever 'boyish' girl group member. Very funny and entertaining. Sulli's big brother (they had a joke where Sulli called her hyung, so cute TT). SHE CAN DO EVERYTHING, WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING I MEAN IT, COZ GIRL CAN DANCE, SING, RAP, COMPOSE AND EVEN ACTING (she played in a drama but I forgot the title). Plus she is very nice and friendly (she has like a LOT of idols friends). She also has many solo songs and they r BOPs. 3. Luna (Korean) - OUR MAIN VOCALIST!!!! and LEAD DANCER (but all of them r GREAT GREAT DANCERS). She is really good at hiphop and popping which why she is the best when executing their choreos (but THEYR'E ALL ARE GREAT DANCERS). And Girl can SING EXTREMELY WELL but sadly unnoticed and very underrated, Her singing skills matches her other main vocal labelmates (Taeyeon & Wendy) but I love her the most♡♡♡. Also her solos r chef's kiss. 4. Krystal (Korean-American) - Our Baby Sujeong♡(her korean name). She is The Center, Visual (but ALL OF THEM R EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL), Lead Vocalist (her voice is one of my favorite in KPOP) & our Maknae (she debuted at the age of 14). Underrated dancing skills, dancing-wise I love her style the most when it comes to dancing f(x) choreos. An awesome actress as well, she played in numerous dramas like High kick season 2 or 3 i forgot, The heirs, The Bride of the water god(?), etc. Looks cold but a cutie and sweetheart. People misunderstood her, but she is an introvert so she is extremely shy around people. Her sister is Jessica Jung (ex girls Generation member). 5. Sulli (Korean) (left in 2015, but forever in our hearts♡) - VISUAL (SHE IS A VISUAL.), Lead rapper (although she didn't rap so much, I really love her rapping♡), Vocalist.
