You need a Brillion cultipacker seeder. No disk needed that's how we plant our dove field with browntop millet and we mix in rhodes grass with it for the cows to eat and Aeschynomene for the deer. Works great. Them 3 grasses together work great.
@TKCL6 ай бұрын
I'd love to have something like that.

“Just another old tractor video…” but those are my favorite videos! Looks like the moisture content in the soil was just about perfect for discing. Thanks for the advice/suggestions on Ecoflow. Really hoping my new D2M is everything I’m hoping it will be.

Your welcome, I hope you enjoy it. Luckily we got just enough rain recently to make the ground softer.

Hey Andrew, if you have the time, you might want to check out the documentary Roots So Deep (You can see the devil down there). I was pleasantly surprised about the data on grassland birds.

How many acres are the food plots? We just purchased 55 acres of heavily wooded land and we’re wanting to create some fields similar to what you have.
@TKCL4 ай бұрын
Main food plot is 7 acres, doesn't need to be anywhere that big.

I have watched your channel since you started rebuilding your cyclone damaged barn. Nearly every couple of episodes you mow and mow. What is the hay situation in your erea like with other farmers for feed? It will give you extra income if you make hay until you get the farm planned?
@TKCL6 ай бұрын
I've covered it a few times because it's such a popular question. We don't have enough hay grass for farmers to justify the expense and time of hauling several trailer loads of equipment here. Hay is also everywhere here, so it sells for cheap. I have even tried to give all of the hay away if someone would cut it, no one has taken me up on the offer. Our plans are to fence in about 10 acres and put cows on it next year.

Hello Andrew, I live in NM, and I tried the soap and water wasp killer formula, and ☹️ unfortunately, my wasps just flew away. I used Dawn it must have just cleaned oil off of them because I think that they flew away fast then when I saw them coming back to the hive. Can you please tell me the name of the green stuff that you used so i can see if, by chance, that works better for the wasps here. I don't know if they ever died because all flew away. Not a single 1 stayed on the ground from the ones that dropped. Thank you
@TKCL6 ай бұрын
Did you mix the soap and water thick? It needs to foam when you spray it. Our soap is from Costco and it's the Kirkland brand. It's the same as Pomolive.
@edbodell69126 ай бұрын
@@TKCL yes, it foams up, the blue almosts matches the dawn bottle. thank you, I will try that brand and see what happens. If I see a differents in products I will let you know

Will the silly (cow) birds eat the seed? What do you think, could it be that the arrival of Euro-Asian doves influenced migration of your local ones?
@TKCL6 ай бұрын
Eurasian doves shouldn't be messing with our common doves. The white birds are eating all the bugs I stir up.
