Check out Jeffrey Herlings race a US Outdoor Motocross National. The MXGP series was racing in Florida just a week after the last round of the 2017 Lucas Oil Motocross series. Jeffrey Herlings decided to fly over to the US a week early to test himself against the American competition. This would be his first US National to date and his only one since. It was Exciting due to the fact that we could potentially see Jeffrey Herlings vs Eli Tomac and settle once and for all who was the better rider. Don't miss the action, this is The Time Jeffrey Herlings Raced A US National.

@@Mxracer6y 2012 : MX2 (Champion) | 2013 : MX2 (Champion) | 2016 : MX2 (Champion) | 2018 : MXGP (Champion) | there were seasons, especially 2020 where he was very unlucky and got insure after a return to the races and bad luck + bad choices that screw his championship chances but to say that ''all he does is crash and can't finish a single season'', facts said differently. This 2021, he got landed in the back and currently is racing with a broken shoulder plate, with wins at Lommel Belgium and currently racing at the Latvian GP winning the first race by 10+ seconds! that's nothing new to a rider who rides around the world. he flies in planes constantly and has to adjust to time constantly, so it's kind of expected for a MXGP champion to win a race no matter where they are. especially when they are not retired.

Tomac at least saved the US from complete humiliation by winning that third race. Some say that was a bad thing as it allowed the AMA to go back to the complacency of "being the best" which they obviously weren't anymore.

If I remember correctly Tomac didn't push it because of the points spread. He was only ahead in the championship by a small margin and was focusing on winning that not a single race.
