Grew up in the 70’s-80’s reading the Sporting Green every day before going to school. Lowell Cohn was my favorite sports writer bar none. This was a period when CW, Ratto, Ira Miller, Glen Dickey, and many many others were on the staff. Lowell Cohn was witty, frank, informative, entertaining and his writing was polished. As a young boy his style had a huge influence on me not fearing to stand up to people in power. If he ever reads this, I just want to say, “Thank you so much. You are a legend.”
