The last six verses of Daniel 11 are about the time of the end right before Jesus returns. These verses, properly understood, provide vitally important details about what must take place and who will be involved in end-time events. In this study, we’ll identify the King of the North and King of the South. We’ll share how these two powers will manifest themselves at the end of the world. These kings are not traditional kings, but systems and movements in recent history that culminate in a new world order and usher in the mark of the beast. If you’re reading this, you are currently living at Daniel 11 verse 40. Verse 41 is about to begin and involves the mark of the beast struggle. Since you already know exactly what the mark of the beast struggle is all about and how it is an attack on the eternal Gospel (see the Revelation 13 study), we will now go into greater detail about what nation brings about the mark of the beast and how it will then sweep across the world. No one on this planet will escape this struggle. When the events prophesied in this verse begin to unfold, time is very very short before the second coming of Christ. Why is "end" times always portraid as the end of the world, and not the end of an era, or an Age?

Great question. The answer is both. It's the end of the world in the sense that all world kingdoms come to an end at the return of Christ. This is symbolically portrayed in Daniel 2 when the stone strikes the feet of a single great statue made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay. The metals and clay represent successive world kingdoms whereas the stone represents the second return of Christ. The stone grows into a great mountain and fills all the earth. These events usher in a new era (or age) of God's Kingdom which will have no end. To be a bit more specific, the second coming of Christ destroys all world kingdoms and therein begins the 1000 year reign and judgment given to the saints. At the end of the 1000 years, the heavenly Jerusalem descends to the earth which will result in a new heaven and new earth. Please consider our entire Daniel and Revelation series to understand the events that must take place before Christ returns. God wants His people ready for His soon return. It's not a time to fear but to be ready.

Daniel 11 has nothing to do with any of the crusades. Rather, Daniel 11 is an explanation of the visions of Daniel 8. It is about Jesus Christ and how the Church (God's people) were taken into spiritual captivity in spiritual Babylon. Also, we are living on the edge of Daniel 11 verse 41. That verse is about to begin in world history. You can know exactly where we are in history and how the final days of earth will unfold before the second coming of Christ Jesus. I haven't heard yet, but everytime I have read "he will pitch his tents between the seas and the mountain" I think that is a false mediator between God and man. This is the harlot and her do it my way religion. That old Babylonian, we will call God down on our terms. Like as Walton writes of the tower of Babel. They wanted to gather as one, and call down on their terms the God as they prescribed and not as God had said.
