We are in the same boat. Much like you I have been canning and preparing since 2020. I like you don't want to experience what we all went through with the pandemic. If you prepare there isn't fear. The Lord put that on my heart to grow a garden and put food back long term. I too have children I have been trying to encourage to get emergency food ,water etc. Too prepare for any kind of emergency long term. Been gardening for 10 plus years now and trying to encourage everyone to grow there own food and preserve. I don't have chickens yet but would like too. I have dehydrated cases of eggs and even frozen some. Like your list. Gives people a place to start. God bless

@@SusanMcClymonds-b7h we are like minded! Yes the list is only meant as a place to start. We’ve all got to start somewhere right? I’m so glad to know you are setting yourself up to be secure!

Getting one's house in order - to the greatest extent possible - is fundamental. If the situation at home is not stable/secure, the heroics and, quite frankly, Walter Mitty fantasies I hear from some people (particularly, other men) will never even get to first base. More preparation = more options, as suggested, up to and including the ability to stay home if/when the stores go in to crazytown mode. Many people - myself included - find Costco, Wal-Mart, and most other stores to be tedious under "normal" circumstances.

Many good points here. And true, stores are complicated even under normal circumstances
