Once known for revolvers, S&W is now known for quality control problems.

If Smith would drop the safety lock more folks would likely to buy them. Taurus used to be bad about it also but have recently dropped it from their revolvers. Smith needs to do the same. Taurus, Rossi, Heritage Arms, Charter Arms, and Colt are coming on strong.

Why do the safety locks bother people so much
@rbm6184Ай бұрын
@@oldsnake7848 A possible mechanical failure point or having it turned on accidentally without knowing it. We can know for sure when a manual safety is on or off but not that tiny little recessed safety lock.

I have a Smith & Wesson model 1917. It's over 100 years old and it still works as if it is a new gun. Talk about timelessness and longevity.

They should remake the smith and wesson m1917.

Need to start paying your QA and CS people better. I was really thinking the 632 UC but too many videos of QA issues and poor CS when dealing with warranty work

I own the stainless 2.5 barrel 686 Smith and Wesson and it’s my favorite revolver. I also own a vintage Rossi.38 special 5 shot - from South America. Both I have refinished the wood handles on and that was great fun. The handle on my Rossi is stock but nicely refinished and polished. My Smith and Wesson is a target range grip with hand carved artwork and I have it stained and polished. I doubt I’ll ever buy another because I feel I’ve covered all the bases. Love them both and I have custom holsters for both. The 4inch 38 Rossi is worn in a side iron holster while my 686 2.5 inch is in a cross draw holster. You know when your setup is good. Enjoy friends and have fun at the range.

I love my S&W revolvers, but it would be good to get some better sights on them (especially the J-frames) from the factory (Lipsey's Ultimate Carry revolvers are a good start).

There may be more expensive revolvers (Korth/Freedom Arms) but none match the quality for the price as S&W. The best in the World for your dollar 💵

They would be a lot more timeless without those ugly internal lock holes in the side. And those Altamont grips on the Model 19 Carry Comp are way too thin for comfortable magnum shooting IMO.

If and when i choose revolver it is .44 magnum 6 inch barrel. .357 magnum is nice but the recoil in not that bad on .44 magnum. Just more overall damage for six shots.
