Thank you very much for the delightful comment! I may not be proficient in English, but I'll do my best to convey my thoughts to everyone somehow! The S3 is an excellent coffee grinder.^^

Thank you for this video! I recently purchased a Timemore Chestnut X and love it but this S3 having an external dial makes me very jealous! 🥲

it's nice to see the first timemore grinder with the adjustment on the outside and with the grind setting being 1-to-1 so you always know what setting the grinder is at, as opposed to the adjustment dial looping around without any markings. game changer
Thank you Coffee Samurai. I ordered S3 today, it's time to upgrade. I have an old version 1zpresso q now, and I've been using comandante c40 at work for 2 years now. It will be interesting ti compare them. Also S3 is just 87$ on aliexpress now, a big sale

I've got a Timer S3 hand grinder for coffee, but there is an unexpected problem it can't grind my coffee fine enough for espresso/cezve, so now I'm looking to upgrade it for a finer coffee grind. What accessories or modifications are available specifically for this hand grinder to achieve a thinner coffee grind? Thanks for video!

I also think that the S3 is not very suitable for grinding coffee beans to an extremely fine consistency.
Thanks for this presentation! I'm looking for the size of the burr in mm, could you please tell me ? 😊

The blade equipped in this S3 is of the type 'S2C890,' with an inner blade diameter of approximately 30mm and an outer blade diameter of approximately 42mm.

How does the compare to C40 by comandante or Pietro hand grinders
@coffeesamurai Жыл бұрын
When compared to the Comandante, I feel that the Comandante is slightly better suited for a stable drip with some fine grounds, while the KINU has fewer fines and more uniform particle size. Both are outstanding at a high level, and for dark roast coffee drips, I lean towards the Comandante, while for light roast specialty coffee, I think the KINU is stronger, at least for now. However, it does not mean that the KINU is weak for dark roasts. Both the Comandante and KINU are at an amazing level. I haven't tried a hand grinder called Pietoro.

I'm sorry, I've currently lent out the sample machine, so I'll try it out once it's returned.

One French reviewer didn't think the S3 could grind fine enough for espresso as his Lelit espresso maker would only register about 4-6 bars when brewing. He later preferred the Kingrinder K4, which was designed for espresso grinds. Your results may vary. Hopefully you can find alternate reviews for the S3 making espresso. BTW, he ground 16g of coffee beans in about 45 seconds at setting '0'.
I purchased the S3 and I don't like it. It only has 10 clicks for espresso. I used it with 3 types of coffee beans and on the finest grind size it is still not fine enough. Coffee (30grams) runs in 12-14 seconds. Way too fast. Next to this, the grip of the grinder is awful. And the exterior is hard to clean. Be aware: not suitable for good espresso!!
