This talk appeared on my feed as our world is in the middle of the pandemic of COVID-19. How fitting it is to hear President Hinkley’s message this morning. It’s a sobering reminder of where we were during that time, didn’t know our family would be directly impacted by the war then, and today many unknowns for our future once again occurs. I pray we all shall have hope and share our courage and blessings with one another regardless of the unknowns. Yet, as I write this one thing is for certain is the love Heavenly Fathers and his beloved son Jesus Christ has for us. We believe and trust this, no matter what. God bless you all.

At the 5:30 mark of this video he is speaking of more than just the terrorist groups though. Indeed in our own society and even certain government institutions we have more than our fair share of Gadianton Robbers. President Hinckley was being prophetic in how we are to understand the true underpinnings of our current age.

I was on my mission in Cochabamba, Bolivia when these events happened. I remember this talk & the hope it gave. This talk was inspired then & is relevant TODAY!! Be obedient to the commandments, get out of debt, have food storage, & pay your tithes. "Let us move forward in Faith..." 💙💙💙

I watched this in the MTC many years ago. Most of us were in tears for fear of the future. But I knew then he truly was a prophet. I still know it, and I miss him.

Years later, his words echo in the halls of truth and justice. These are truly the last days, and I am struggling to make my way back to God and his son, Jesus Christ. I needed to hear these words, because I fear what is coming. What happened those years ago will pale in comparison to the suffering we will all have to endure. But putting my faith in God and in His promises to us if we but repent and stay true. May we all find Him working through us to keep His light shining as a beacon of hope for all the world to see. God is good, and His son lives in each of us.

I am not a member of The LDS Church, but I admire this man along with many others of The LDS Church like Elder Jeffrey Holland, Elder Tad Callister, Elder Bednar, Elder EzraTaft Benson and others. Good men! Gordon B Hinkley was also a very funny man, as I have seen in his other videos! He will be sadly missed.

Wonderful words and actions and an amazing appointment...but unlike other practices culture multitudes and churches the LDS maintain a vigil and peaceful and righteous meaning with such simplicity..that there's no complexity to be admired no reign of pope nor bishop nor piety and the result of empathy in many ways and less fruitful and empty....this church I know is established of the Lord our God and his n doing establishing a freindhip for the better with heavenly father...❤️ God bless

7:39 President Hinckley knew what darkness would be upon us for the upcoming decades. Moments of revelation given to him at the pulpit proved to be foreboding rather than hopeful.

What a nice talk is too bad. The wicked People of satan were never actually flushed out. The book of mormon has all the answers and it also tell us about the gadianten roberts who are infiltrated everywhere. It's beautiful that you're presenting talk about beautiful things. Though isn't focused on the negative, he draws our minds and our hearts back to our savior jesus christ

Come on man... you really think it's fear? He is the prophet for this specific time. Regardless of human error if there be any, he will fulfill the mission God has entrusted him with.
