you can use them for Pike, if used with wire trace, Cats sleep most of the winter (not always) but most of the time, they switch off and feed only on warmer temps. they body clocks slows down with the temp. So Catfishing on or near the surface is in my opinion a waste of time. However Im not saying ppl do catch Cats in the depths of winter... on a summer rig!
