I was fortunate enough to see The Irish Rovers in Allentown, PA a few years ago. They did an awesome job.

if there are two things that make me nervous about Titanic 2, they are the fact that its not being built in Ireland, and the fact that china has no idea what quality is anymore

What show was this at?

It's wrong to say the Titanic was built for speed. It was actually quite slow compared to the other ships like the Mauritania, and would NEVER have broke a record for a fasted crossing.

Andrew, I understand that the Titanic was" charging away" to set some sorta record in reaching New York in a record time and the Captain was under extreme pressure to achieve this, by the owners. The route he chose, speed at time of hitting the iceberg, led to the sinking.

@ Can you explain why the captain did not take a safer course, if he was not in a "hurry"??
@charlesduguid48116 жыл бұрын
@ Yes they did take a more southerly course, which was to know avail ! They should have been more southerley, by a bigger margin to avoid the ice. tell me more about the safety precautions? Do you know about the "problem" with one of the coal bunkers?
@charlesduguid48116 жыл бұрын
@ The Titanic should heve never been allowed to sea with a fire in her coal bunker, what were the captain and shore authorities thinking about? I think personally that pride/ money were the chief culprit. Incidently, when she left Belfast to sail to Southhampton, the bunker was on fire!!

@ Fire's of all kinds are a danger to life, limb and property[ including ships] In my opinion the ship should never have sailed.
