I'm so happy to see this new series; I loved the original Discussions series of the standard works. This is a great opening video. I'm looking forward to more. Thank you, everyone involved at getting these videos created and available to all.

I BELIEVE THAT GOD OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS THE GREATEST CONCIEVABLE COMMUNICATOR. IN HUMILITY, IN HUMBLENESS, IN TEACHABLENESS, I BELIEVE, HE CAUSES US TO KNOW OF HIS LOVE FOR US GREATER THRU THE BOOK OF MORMON, THAN THRU THE HOLY BIBLE, WHICH I HAVE A GREAT APPRECIATION FOR.

I love the content of what these men are discussing. I am also glad that at least Brother Farnsworth had a tie and white shirt on. I would like to think that a discuss of sacred scripture, on this level, should not be done in a casual way. There's is still a lot to be said for a dress code - written or not.

“Not cast off forever” the infinite atonement. It’s one of the Book of Mormon’s main focus. Yes, I can and will get off the path but not forever. I will not be cast off forever! The Book of Mormon teaches me how to get back on the path and uses many examples of those that got off the path. It teaches me that Families can be in travail, but can find their way back from the “darkest abyss.”

I am an explorer and I research in order have a broad understanding of things. And I have just listened to 51 seconds of this video, and maybe I'll be surprised and enlightened later on, but right now, I don't understand the connection between 'Mormon' and 'ancient'. Joseph Smith published the Book of Mormon in like 1824. How is that ancient? So far as I know Smith received the book on a glacial hill before writing it. I'm not sure when the contact between Jesus and the Amerinds occurred...but ancient to me implies 2000+ years or so. I will finish this video, and maybe it will be explained.

Oh, now that I think on it, by the Mormon beliefs, Jesus went to the Amerinds after 'leaving' the Levant, and so Christians believe that Jesus ascended to heaven in his resurrected body directly after leaving the Levant, but I suppose (I am no expert on Mormanism), Mormans believe that Jesus instead went and proselytized to the Amerinds. Well, yes, then one could consider that belief system ancient, even though the scripture itself is quite young compared to many other contemporarily recognized major religious traditions. But what I don't understand is why it was almost 2000 years later that Smith received the revalation of this 'ancient' occurrence. And, are their any reliable (outside of the Book of Mormon itself) documents or accounts that the Amerinds received prophesy from Jesus? That is a question that I really want to know about.
