liverpool never left the top. we've been in the title race every season.. except for that injury season. most of the league have been extraordinarily arrogant and dismissive of how hard it actually is to compete with city (not to mentioning reaching 2 CL finals and winning one), and no one has been more guilty of this than arsenal, who haven't won anything but still demanded to be given more respect than liverpool. Well, it looks like reality is starting to sink in. Liverpool didn't even buy anyone this summer except chiesa for 10m who's played about 10 minutes so far. So you can't cry about money either. everyone else just needs to step it up.

Arsenal players got too carried away too soon. They disrespected Liverpools achievements as they'd only managed a single PL disregarding how they did it against a machine of a club with far superior financial resources. This experience has affected some of them and they need players like Rice and Salah to grab hold of the players and help them through. Stop believing the hype and you have a chance but to consider yourselves the main challengers to City is naiive when you've been against a Liverpool side in transition and who had to integrate a complete new MF last season and only faltered at the end of the season. Stop playing like underdogs and go for wins against the best teams like City and Liverpool, home and away. Not doing this and buying their caste offs sends a message that you're inferior.

100% Arsenal cannot win the league title as long as Arteta is the manager. But he could probably win a cup or two. For the league title, a team needs to be very consistent to win and Arsenal just dont have that consistency. They would have their yearly wobbles and would drop precious points. In the last 5 to 6 years, only City and Liverpool have shown to be able to win week in week out at home or away. They are also able to go on a long winning run of 10 to 15 games. This is the only way a team can win the title.

i cant disagree more. arteta is the perfect man to win a title for arsenal. the main thing is he made arsenal defensively solid which is what they always lacked under wenger. They are consistent. He already did win a cup. the main problem at arsenal like always is their mentality. they always demand respect and always think they've won things before they actually have. they let their emotions get the better of them. if they would just be professional and mature a bit, they could definitely get over the line.

To get to 90 plus points which is the standard right now, you've got to be able to go on those long winning runs. In the seasons in which Liverpool and City gained 97,98,100 there's a 99 somewhere there? They had to go on 15, 17,18 games winning runs Arsenal couldn't do that in the last two seasons when they came second. Liverpool only came second and won against City because they did it. Last season city went l think 14 straight wins. Still think you can't beat them unless you have a run like that

Why did they pull the days that past since the last time Arsenal and City both lost in the same gameweek as if all this years Arsenal has been a title contender? Tired of thus narrative, always trying to make Arsenal a title contender when they aren't. The problem is that all of the midia in the season's preview put Arsenal as winning and now they are just trying to justify that. Even Liverpool didn't have 3 seasons in a row challenging for the title becuase there's the mental part of it. Another problem with Arsenal is the pressure that coming with not winning anything in this Arteta process, apart for that FA Cup which was with an Emery team. If Arteta were more smart he would put a lot of effort in the cups along the years, just to trying to win something and relieve a little of this pressure and frustration. Edu leaving is almost a signal that Arteta's days are numbered if he don't win nothing by the end of the season. It’s not true that city only had run ins with Rodri in the side. That is disrespecting Fernandinho and Yaya Toure and if I recall Rodri was not the player he is now those first few seasons. Pep finds a way and they have the financial capability to get a Zubimendi or Tuchameni to come and seal that gap in January when they traditionally have their run of form anyway. Think city are still favourites based on their run in and experience in the title race. Liverpool have the toughest and so remain third. Arsenal have to remain relevant and then hope for a goal scorer in January although that Edu news is a game changer.
