Those silicone corners were already used in the Cycle7 by the way! Same for all those rubber beans on the bottom case.

Hey Alex, loved the review! How does this stack against the Neo 80? I'm torn if I should pick this up if I already have a Neo 80 and Cycle 7...
@BANDBAND10276 ай бұрын
Actually, the Neo80 can only provide a comfortable sound with specific switches, so you might need to be patient to try and find the right ones. If you still cannot make your Neo80 the end-game 80% keyboard, I recommend buying a Cycle8 for comparison.
@alexotos6 ай бұрын
I wrote more about that in my written review, but honestly there are close in a lot of regardless. I would probably still go with the Neo myself to save some money but if the design of the cycle speaks to you, you wont be disappointed.
@defox_nz6 ай бұрын
they put in the quick release ball catch and then decided to go with ribbon cables… 🤦🏻♂️ and that’s why u might as well get the Neo80
@defox_nz6 ай бұрын
@@Draw3524 the whole point of the quick release is for people to tinker with their keyboards more easily, ribbon cable is very fragile that could be damaged easily. i mean i cant imagine it wouldve costed them that much money to add a magnetic connector.
@bosenngantor91606 ай бұрын
I honestly don't mind it...I mean of course magnetic one is easy to deal with, but I've been build and rebuild with ribbon cables for the past years and I don't think I'm bothered with it, and never broke it too, even if it broke, ribbon cables is so easy to find online and hella cheap. I think many ppl just too lazy sometimes, building keyboard is kinda the art in this hobby, and don't tell me the quicker 5-10 seconds to build would change anything. And guess what, you may tinkering on the board in 3-4 days max, once you settled with switch and keycaps you like, the next you re-build it would be weeks or months ahead. And by my experience, I will probably buying and focus on building another one rather than re-build previous one, that's howe the hobby runs, unless you're only buy 1 keyboard and stay out from the hobby then it's understandable concern
@defox_nz6 ай бұрын
@@bosenngantor9160 that’s all valid points u make, but for a similar price why not just get the NEO80? that does come with the magnetic connector and the quick release?
