I really like roguelikes but haven't got the chance to play many myself but I loved this game! I already completed it and even did the hardest stuff with enough upgrades! Having permanent upgrades is so much better and I like that aspect a lot. I can't wait for the future content!❤

I was able to play the demo before the full release so just kept saving coins and it was sometimes hard until I started getting nore upgrades, and now it's actually easy every time. Permanent upgrades are nice 😂

Ooze can be absolutely amazing, you just have to start with the Dashing Ooze ability. Any time you dash THROUGH an enemy, you apply stacks. After you get that ability, just focus on increasing your stack cap and ooze damage percentage and you will just dance around the stage and watch everything die.

The biggest stumbling block for me in this game is the catch-22 where I'm not good enough to get to Shredder without the higher end upgrades, but the higher end upgrades need materials that only come from beating Shredder.

It’s all about learning some of the attack patterns and then making a strong build. Look at the artifacts and see what unlocks them. While any build will work, you’ll also find that each turtle is more successful at certain builds. Donatello has a mastery that pushes ooze builds to nonsense levels- get it on the dash and focus on things that add stacks and potency and you can just dash around. Shuriken builds are ridiculously strong and can work on anyone although I like them on Leo (he excels with ninja buffs). For your first win, go all in on something like one of those builds but if you get a chance to pick up light shield (astral) that’s never a bad idea. Light shield and then the power that allows you to reflect projectiles with light shield can carry you to victory. Remember, it’s a rouge like so your first win isn’t the end. 😅 Once you get that down pat, start figuring out how to mix and match categories to get legendary powers.

The problem with trying to beat roguelikes first time every time is that some are literally impossible to beat, some aren’t meant to be beaten, and some are balanced for multiplayer. You can’t beat the true ending of Gungeon first run, and you’re not meant to beat the second boss of Inscryption first run either

With Raphael I always use the fire powers. The damage buff stacked with the fact that he does have the shortest weapons which means he does get hit the most means that if you hover at a certain health you're basically one shoting

Definitely gave this game a try it be nice if they add dlc for more characters to try out with new abilities and such. Or even new cosmetics. I found that Mikey and Leo are my strongest to use

Raphael in my opinion is the most OP character with a fire elemental crit build. Personally the best elements per turtle is: Leonardo - utrom Raphael - fire/dark Michelangelo - water/light Donatello - dark/ooze
